PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas demanded in talks with US President Obama that Israel free the most senior Palestinian Arab prisoners, including Marwan Barghouti.

Abbas said Palestinians will not agree to extend peace talks with Israel beyond their April 29 deadline without Israel releasing more prisoners beyond the fourth and final tranche planned for later this month. He was referring to Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) leader Ahmad Saadat, former PLO finance official Fuad Shubaki and Marwan Barghouti, one of the main architects of the 2000 terror war often referred to as the Second Intifada. Saadat planned the assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze’evi in 2001. He was sentenced in 2008 to 30 years in prison. Barghouti, a senior member of Abbas’s Fatah party, is serving five life sentences for planning numerous terror attacks against Israelis.

From his jail cell, he has threatened Israel with a third intifada

The Palestinian leadership will not agree to anything less than a fully-autonomous state with East Jerusalem as its capital, will not cave into pressure and will not relinquish its national rights, PA President Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday. The Fatah Central Committee held a special meeting Saturday to discuss the results of Abbas' Washington meeting with US President Obama at the beginning of last week. The committee members expressed their support of Abbas, and called for an Israeli withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, leaving neither military nor civilian presence there. The committee members also rejected Israel's demand for recognition as a "Jewish state." Abbas has consistently said that unless all his preconditions are met, there will be no peace with Israel. The PA has already formally refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state throughout talks, stating that "the Arab states will never recognize a Jewish state." (Jerusalem Post)

written by a dear friend David Silver -

"Last week the people at the Bethlehem Bible College held the fourth Christ at the Checkpoint Conference (CATC). As you probably realize the title of the conference is meant to imply that if Yeshua was alive today, he would have to pass through the Israeli security checkpoints as He moved about Judea and Samaria. I wrote "the people at the Bethlehem Bible College" because I don't consider them to be true Bible beiieving Christians. Here are the reasons that I believe that to be true ....

1/ They claim that Yeshua was a Palestinian - THATS A LIE There was never a country called Palestine. The name Palestine did not come into being until 70 AD - 40 years after the resurrection

2/ The title of the conference implies that if the situation was the same in Yeshua's lifetime as it is today, He would have had to pass through the Israeli checkpoints THATS A LIE There were no Checkpoints in the time of Yeshua because there were NO "Palestinians" therefore Yeshua would not have encountered any checkpoints or security barriers.

3/ They have rewritten parts of the Bible to suit their politics - last year the president of the BBC, Jack Sara, gave a message at the CATC, quoting from Ezekiel and changing the words DRY BONES which clearly refer to the Jewish people, to THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE. Here is the exact quote of what Sara said .... “The hand of the Lord was on me and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of the [West Bank – Bethlehem, Jenin and Salvit and Nablus and Ramallah.]** It was full of bones ... He asked me, ‘Son of Man, can these bones live? Can the [Palestinian people live?]’** THATS A LIE and the last verse in the Bible warns against interfering with the Word of God

4/ The CATC manifesto states that you cannot use the Bible to establish land borders or ownership - here is the quote "Any exclusive claim to land of the Bible in the name of God is not in line with the teaching of scripture." THATS A LIE

5/ 2013 guest speaker Dr Mitri Raheb taught that Christianity was born in Palestine - THATS A LIE - the name Israel was replaced by the word Palestine after the Roman destruction in 70 AD, 40 years after the resurrection

6/ The official BBC blog from Day 2 of this years event asked the questions .... How do you love your neighbor when he builds a wall around you, separates you from your family and detains and shoots your people? How do you love your neighbor with tear gas in your eyes? Take it a step further - how do you love your neighbor when he wants to kill you? Absolutely no mention of the 1300 plus innocent Israeli men, women & children blown to pieces as they sat in buses and restaurants over the last 10 years. No mention of terrorists hiding under beds in ambulances with their bombs ready to kill more Israelis. It places the blame on the Israelis and THATS A LIE.!!!."

Secretary of State John Kerry told members of Congress that international law already declares Israel a Jewish state, and called Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu’s insistence on a public declaration of Israel’s Jewish character from the Palestinians “a mistake” in the diplomatic process.

The mistake is on the part of John Kerry, the POTUS and government officials who refuse to see what The Word clearly says about Israel.

Has God turned His back on Israel - NO - but that seems to matter little to the powers that seem committed to the destruction of Israel and America in the process.

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas clarified his positions regarding the issues of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and the so-called “right of return” of Palestinian “refugees” in an appearance broadcast by PA TV, and monitored by Palestinian Media Watch, which also translated the segment. During the broadcast, the so-called “moderate” Abbas states clearly: no Jewish communities will remain in the PA, and 5 million “refugees” worldwide, “from Canada to Japan” - including all of the descendants of Arabs who fled Israel in 1948 - will have the right to “return” to Israel. Abbas rejects categorically even the idea that settlement “blocs” will remain in the PA state ("not one stone"). In addition, Abbas says emphatically that there will never be recognition of Israel as a Jewish state. The Revolutionary Council of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party on Monday unanimously endorsed his rejection of demands to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. (Israel National News)

Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani as they meet with members of the Arab League ...‬
The Arab League has endorsed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s rejection of Israel’s demand for recognition as a Jewish state, as US-backed peace talks approach a deadline next month.

"The council of the Arab League confirms its support for the Palestinian leadership in its effort to end the Israeli occupation over Palestinian lands, and emphasizes its rejection of recognizing Israel as a ‘Jewish state."

Bill Wilson - Daily Jot writes:

"He stood at the podium and paraphrased Deuteronomy 30:19, "...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both you and your seed may live." He went on to explain what it means to those he represents and to himself personally. He spoke about how he wanted to talk about his nation by drawing a line "between life and death, between right and wrong, between the blessings of a brilliant future and the curses of a dark past." He talked about the compassion of his nation, a moral divide that separates his nation from its enemies--loving life verses loving death. He received standing ovation one after another. He is not American. He is Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel speaking in Washington, DC.

Americans could have gotten a first hand glimpse of a real leader and a real statesman. But the news media doesn't want to cover someone who tells the truth, especially if the truth is something about which they are in denial. Speaking about the humanitarian efforts of Israel in Syria, Gaza, Haiti, Turkey, Japan, and the Philippines, Netanyahu said, "In the Middle East, bludgeoned by butchery and barbarism, Israel is human; Israel is compassionate; Israel is a force for good." In contrast, Netanyahu said, "Now, on the other side of that moral divide, steeped in blood and savagery, stand the forces of terror--Iran, Assad, Hezbollah, al Qaeda, and many others."

Netanyahu painted a very detailed picture of the lack of leadership in the United States regarding the issue of a nuclear Iran. He warned America, saying, "Iran's missiles can already reach Israel, so those ICBMs that they're building, they're not intended for us. You remember that beer commercial, "this Bud's for you"? Well, when you see Iran building ICBNs, just remember, America, that Scud's for you...And guess what tune they're singing in Tehran? It's not "God Bless America," it's "death to America." And they chant this as brazenly as ever." Netanyahu pointed out that credible foreign policy does not allow terrorists to have a nuclear bomb; and that the White House approach will make war more likely.

Netanyahu stood up for his nation and gave a valiant and realistic assessment of right-minded leadership, character, and national security. If only we had an American president who loved his country so much that he would do everything within his power to build that nation up, rather than work overtime for its destruction. If only we had an American electorate that loved their Lord and Savior so much that they would use their God-granted freedom to preserve their nation as that shining city set on a hill that cannot be hid. If only we had an American president and electorate that would let their light so shine before men, that they may see their good works, and glorify their Father which is in heaven. If only..."

As P.M. Benjamin Netanyahu meets with Washington leadership, Palestinian Authority sources have told reporters that “this time, Obama will intervene forcefully and directly, and apply pressure to Netanyahu and PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas, so that they agree to a framework agreement.” According to these sources, the framework agreement will determine that the capital of the Palestinian state will be eastern Jerusalem, and in exchange, there will be Palestinian concessions in other matters, including borders and refugees. The Palestinians, for their part, strenuously rejected the offer to recognize Israel as the Jewish state. The Palestinian sources added that “if Obama succeeds in convincing Netanyahu and Abbas to agree to concessions on the framework agreement, he will announce a date for signing the agreement in Washington, with himself taking part [and credit] personally.” (Israel National News)

Mr. Netanyahu said that the people of Israel expect him to stand strong against pressures on the Jewish state.

PLEASE - pray that he does.
