BRAVERY & PERSEVERANCE: WOMAN WOUNDED BY TERRORIST GIVES BIRTH: Five months ago, a knife-wielding terrorist entered a clothing store in the town of Tekoa in Gush Etzion, and stabbed the pregnant Michal Froman in her upper body. She was evacuated to Jerusalem's Sha'arei Tzedek hospital in moderate condition. On Saturday 25 June 2016, she gave birth to a healthy baby daughter. In a media interview Froman said that every crisis brings with it the opportunity to find the positive and embark on a new journey. "I often think about what God was trying to tell me with this attack," she said. Froman's husband wrote a facebook post detailing his thoughts and feelings about the birth of his daughter. "For already four months since the stabbing I've been wondering if we'll have a 'hilltop youth' girl or an extreme Leftist. Turns out she's just a bundle of sweetness. Of sweetness and serenity. It seems it'll take us a while to convince her that there are conflicts in the world. In the meantime she and I are both filled with admiration for her mother, who once again surprised us with a show of strength from suffering, and finding the good in a crisis. HUCKABEE: ‘AMERICA LOOKS IN THE MIRROR AND SEES ISRAEL’: “Every friend of Israel is a friend of the United States and every enemy of Israel is an enemy of the United States,” said Governor Michal Huckabee, 44th Governor of Arkansas and two-time GOP presidential hopeful. Speaking on 15 June 2016 during the annual Herzliya Conference, Governor Huckabee said “America is looking into the mirror and sees Israel.” Huckabee immediately noted that the greatest common foe facing the two countries and the free world is a “radical Islamic ideology that takes us back to the 7th century.” He repeated, “We have a common enemy and that enemy is radical Islam that wishes to destroy civilization itself and wishes to turn the clock back to centuries ago.” He said that he feared that sometimes people were afraid “to call out the common enemy of radical Islam in case we offend someone,” but went on to state that he was offended when innocent people were murdered in the name of an ideology that wishes to destroy all semblance of peace.” He referred to the “ill-fated and tragic deal to trust the Iranians” saying that “there can be no deal with those who believe it’s okay to murder people” because of their race, religion or ethnicity. It’s impossible to enter into any agreement with the present leadership of Iran. I hope and pray that it will be rescinded.” (INN) 

ABBAS: ‘THE BIBLE SAYS WE WERE HERE BEFORE ABRAHAM’: Archaeological evidence has long disproved any historical claims of Palestinian peoplehood, but the facts did not deter Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas from spuriously claiming Palestinians were in Israel from before the Biblical Abraham. Palestinian Media Watch on Monday 6 June 2016, exposed repeated statements by Abbas and his religious adviser on official PA TV in recent months airing the ahistorical claims, according to which the Palestinians have been in Israel for "5,000" or "6,000" years. On PA TV Abbas said, "our narrative says that we were in this land since before Abraham. I am not saying it. The Bible says it. The Bible says, in these words, that the Palestinians existed before Abraham. So why don't you recognize my right?" In exposing Abbas' assertions, PMW clarified that his statement about the Bible is false.

The only Biblical reference Abbas could be talking about is the text that Abraham dwelt 'many days in the land of the Philistines.' (Gen 21: 34) However, the Philistines have no connection to today's Palestinian Arabs. The Philistines were a people of Greek origin who settled in the land of Canaan and lived beside the Israelite tribes. The Palestinians who are Arabs could not have had ancestors in the land from biblical times predating Israelite and Judean statehood because Arabs only arrived in the land in 637 A.D. with the Muslim invasion. The 'Palestinians' are not mentioned in the Bible," explained PMW. Significantly Abbas in his comments based the Palestinian "right" to the land on his historical lies, showing how the attempts at revisionist history on the part of the PA are part of an intentional political campaign to legitimize its claims. The lack of actual Palestinian history was recently laid bare when the PA in May 2016 opened its Palestinian Museum of art, history and culture - with absolutely nothing inside it. ISIS ‘CRUCIFIES,’ LASHES RAMADAN FAST BREAKERS: Reports have emerged that ISIS enforcers lashed and crucified three people in Syria for breaking the Ramadan fast. The people were said to have been held in cages for hours prior to receiving their punishments at the hands of ISIS religious police last week. Ramadan, which began two weeks ago, requires Muslims to fast from morning to nightfall for a month, eating and drinking only at night. Two people were flogged and then tied to crosses outside a police station in Mayadin, which lies around 50 miles from the Iraqi border, reports said. Another person suffered the same fate in the city of Al-Bukamal on the banks of Euphrates River. 
Rami Abdelrahman, of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, confirmed the reports and said the crucifixions were carried out to serve as an “example” for others. “We heard of similar instances happening in Raqqa,” he added, referring to the ISIS capital in Syria. It was not clear from reports if the crucified people survived the ordeal. On 17 June 2016, ISIS released images of an alleged highway robber punished by amputation of his right hand and left foot. The blindfolded man was seated in a plastic chair before terrorists chopped off his limbs and then left him lying on a stretcher, bandaged and with his head still covered. (Times of Israel)

REPORT: BDS FAILING TO CAUSE MAJOR ECONOMIC BLOW TO ISRAEL: Despite signs that the international BDS movement is gaining traction in its aim to isolate Israel, a review of the country's foreign capital flow shows that the boycott campaign has failed in regard to the economic gauge, Bloomberg reported Thurs. 2 June 2016. While the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions has strongly focused on dampening commercial ties with Israeli businesses, particularly those over the Green Line, it has reportedly made little economic impact overall. In fact, the data reviewed by Bloomberg shows that Israel has experienced a steep increase in foreign stake in Israeli companies and banks. Statistics published by the Bank of Israel reveal that foreign investments in Israeli assets have raised nearly three-fold since 2005 when the Palestinian-established BDS movement was launched, hitting an all-time high of $285.12 billion in 2015. Bloomberg cited BDS co-found Omar Barghouti as arguing that the "“indirect, palpable psychological impact" on Israel is the movement's forte. (J. ISIS CLAIMS ORLANDO GAY NIGHTCLUB MASSACRE: ISIS terrorist group's official media wing released an announcement on Monday 13 June 2016, claiming credit for the deadly shooting attack at an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub the previous day. A statement published in the al-Amaq agency - which functions as ISIS's propaganda and media wing - claimed that "the attack that targeted a nightclub for homosexuals in Orlando, Florida and that left more than 100 dead or wounded was carried out by an ISIS fighter." 50 people were murdered in the worst shooting spree in American history, and a further 53 were wounded, many of them seriously. The assault was carried out by a Muslim American, Omar Mateen, who swore allegiance to ISIS shortly before carrying out the attack. According to reports, he used an AR-15 assault rifle as well as a handgun to shoot his victims. ISIS has been encouraging its followers to carry out terrorist attacks throughout the Western world in "honor" of Ramadan, which began last week. Previous gun rampages carried out on behalf of ISIS - including the 2015 San Bernardino attack - were committed by cells acting independently, with ISIS formally claiming responsibility shortly afterwards. Even prior to the statement by ISIS's media wing, jihadists took to social media to celebrate and gloat over the attack. (INN) 

ORLANDO SHOOTER’S EX-WIFE: ‘HE BEAT ME. HE WAS VIOLENT AND UNSTABLE’: The ex-wife of 29-year-old Omar Mateen, the shooter in Sunday's largest mass shooting in the history of the USA, revealed that he was "violent and mentally unstable" according to media sources. His ex-wife, who decided to remain anonymous, said that Mateen repeatedly beat her if she had not finished the laundry, among other things. She said that upon discovering that Mateen had been regularly assaulting her, his ex-wife's family flew to their Fort Pierce, Florida home and extracted her, leaving behind all of her belongings. "They literally saved my life," she commented of her parents' decision to remove her from the abusive situation. Speaking of family connections - Mateen’s father is an Afghan immigrant who hosted an anti-American TV show and once called the Taliban “our warrior brothers.” Seddique Mateen appears in scores of online videos, including one he posted to Facebook right around the time of his son’s rampage. In it, he wears combat fatigues and salutes the camera. (J.Post)

: Israel cannot return to the pre-1967 borders. It would leave the center of the country a mere nine miles wide and its borders indefensible. The Jewish State could be cut in two by an Arab tank charge in just minutes. Arab forces would be positioned all along Israel’s eastern border, along with the areas that contain the greatest concentration of Israel’s population, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa. Israel would be stripped of its protective Judea-Samaria mountain ranges. USA Lieut.-General Thomas Kelly, director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Gulf War, pointed out that Israel would be virtually indefensible without those mountainous areas.

An Israeli retreat to the pre-1967 borders would also mean the re-division of Jerusalem. The Arabs would gain control of the Old City section of Jerusalem (known as “east Jerusalem”), which includes the holiest sites in Judaism, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. That area also includes the historic Jewish Quarter and the Mount of Olives cemetery, which is the oldest Jewish cemetery in the world. SHIPMENT CARRYING MATERIALS FOR MORTARS FROM JUDEA TO GAZA VIA ISRAEL DISCOVERED: Border control agents, working in conjunction with the Shin Bet internal security agency, confiscated a large shipment at the Tarkumia Crossing in the Hebron region. The shipment, bound for Gaza via Israel, carried a large quantity of building materials for rockets and mortars, along with heavy-duty electric motors, used to construct and fortify underground facilities. The smuggled materials were concealed in a shipment of textiles and jewelry. Officials say the shipment included hundreds of special pipes used to manufacture rockets and mortars, in addition to motors Hamas likely intended to use to expand its vast underground network. The shipment was destined for the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza via Israel. Authorities are searching for those responsible for the smuggling attempt. (INN)

On Jerusalem Day, Netanyahu pledges to never abandon Kotel or cut ties to Temple Mount.

He spoke of the important of Israeli rule to the vision of a heavenly Jerusalem that provides a safe haven for Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

“There was no peace for the [three] religions until Jerusalem was under Israeli sovereignty. Someone was always dispossessed. It is only when, under Israeli sovereignty, we are watching over the city that there will be freedom for the three religions.”

The Palestinians insist that Israel must recognize their right to a national homeland, but refuse to accept a Jewish one, Netanyahu explained.

“Those who deny that Israel is the home-land of the Jews, who deny our claims to Jerusalem and turn the Temple Mount into an instrument of incitement and hatred have a long way to go before they are ready for peace,” he said. (JPost)

EGYPT: PLANE CRASH WAS LIKELY TERRORISM: Egyptian Civil Aviation minister Sherif Fathy admitted on,19 May 2016 that terrorism is the most likely explanation for the downing of EgyptAir flight MS804. The plane, heading from Paris to Cairo, disappeared from the radar early Thursday morning while flying over the Mediterranean. Egyptian authorities earlier said an "explosion" had brought down the plane, which was carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew members. Fathy acknowledged that "if you analysis the situation properly the possibility of having a terror attack is higher than the possibility of having a technical problem." In confirming the discovery of the first fragments of the plane approximately 100 nautical miles away from where the plane was initially believed to have crashed, Greek authorities expressed fears that a suicide bomber may have hijacked the plane first and cut contact, before detonating himself and killing everyone on board. The Egyptian military said Friday that it had located more wreckage from EgyptAir flight 804 in the Mediterranean Sea. Israel’s PM Netanyahu telephoned Egypt's president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, late Thur. to express Israel's condolences over the disappearance of the EgyptAir flight. (Arutz-7)
