PLO: WE’LL NEVER GIVE UP ON THE RIGHT OF ‘RETURN’ TO ISRAEL: In honor of this year’s “Nakba Day”, the Palestine Liberation Organization’s foreign affairs department has released a public statement reaffirming its commitment to what it calls the “right of return” of millions of Arabs to live within the State of Israel. According to the statement, the PLO considers the right of return of millions of “refugees” and their descendants to be a basic national Palestinian right, and an essential part of any future final status agreement. The PLO also called to put an end to the “plight” of the more than 5.59 million “Palestinian refugees.” Israel has refused to accept the notion of a Palestinian “right of return”, which if accepted in a final status agreement, could open the door to mass immigration that would effectively dismantle the Jewish state. CONGRESSMAN: CLASSIFIED DETAILS OF IRAN’S TREATMENT OF USA SAILORS WILL SHOCK NATION: The classified details behind Iran’s treatment of several USA sailors who were captured by the Islamic Republic during a tense standoff earlier this year are likely to shock the nation. According to one member of the House Armed Services Committee, these details are currently being withheld by the Obama administration. Rep. Randy Forbes (R., Va.) told media sources in an interview that the Obama administration is still keeping details of the maritime incident under wraps. It could be a year or longer before the American public receives a full accounting of the incident, in which several USA sailors were abducted at gunpoint by the Iranian military. Details of the abduction are likely to start an uproar in the nation and call into question the Obama administration’s handling of the incident, which many experts say violated international and maritime law. “I think that’s going to be huge cause for concern for most Americans." Forbes suggested that Iran’s treatment of the USA sailors - which included filming them crying and forcing them to apologize at gunpoint - may have been much worse than what has been publicly reported. USA ANNOUNCES $50 MILLION AID PROGRAM FOR THE GAZA STRIP: USA officials said the money will be used over five years to provide basic humanitarian assistance and create jobs. It will be distributed by the USA Agency for International Development in partnership with Catholic Relief Services. The USA Consul General in Jerusalem, Donald Blume, said the effort is meant to address "the dire needs that are obvious in Gaza." Gaza's economy has sharply declined since the Islamic terrorist group Hamas took over the coastal territory nearly a decade ago. Unemployment there is estimated to be over 40%. The USA considers Hamas a terror organization and has no official relations with the group. (Arutz-7)

B/B Segal Commentary:  How tragic that Hamas has used billions of dollars of foreign aid money to build terrorist attack tunnels into Israel, to buy and use weapons against the Jewish state, and to pad their own pockets. So much could have been done to build up the suffering Gaza Strip society, to provide jobs, homes, schools, and much more. Instead, Hamas continues to feed its men, women and children on hate and jihad. An entire population is starving on such a diet. Pray that Hamas will be overthrown and that others with a positive eye towards rebuilding the Gaza Strip and co-operating with Israel will be put in place.

OBAMA WANTS ISRAEL TO SPEND AID MONEY ENTIRELY ON USA-MADE WEAPONS: Negotiations meant to enshrine USA defense aid for Israel over the next decade have snagged on disputes about the size, scope and fine print of a new multibillion-dollar package, officials say. Israel is seeking up to $10 billion more than the current 10-year package, partly by asking for guaranteed funding for missile defense projects hitherto funded on an ad hoc basis by the American Congress, the officials said. USA President Obama wants to ensure the funds, thus far spent partly on Israeli arms, are eventually spent entirely on USA-made weapons. Shraga Brosh, the head of the Manufacturer's Association of Israel, urged PM Netanyahu on 4 May 2016, to reject the defense aid package deal proposed by Obama, saying it would kill Israeli jobs and be a "mortal blow" to its defense industry and mean the loss of thousands of jobs in Israel in favor of the Americans," Brosh said. SAME EXCEPT IN NAME: The new Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) report on the Palestinian Authority scam to continue paying PA terrorist prisoners salaries with Western donor money, stresses that the PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs that was formed when the PA Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs was closed is identical to its predecessor according to the report. The Commission and the salaries of the terrorist prisoners remain under the "supervision" of the "Palestinian presidency," in other words PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. What's more, the PA Minister of Prisoners' Affairs became the director of the new PLO Commission. Official PA sources were quoted in the report openly revealing that the PA Ministry of Finance continues to be the body responsible for paying terrorist prisoners their salaries. Summarizing its report, PMW concluded by noting that "since it continues to fund salaries to terrorists, thereby clearly violating its promise to donors, the PA should be ineligible to receive Western donor money. However, through this deception the PA is still reaping over a billion dollars in foreign aid." (INN)

: Israel cannot return to the pre-1967 borders. It would leave the center of the country a mere nine miles wide and its borders indefensible. The Jewish State could be cut in two by an Arab tank charge in just minutes. Arab forces would be positioned all along Israel’s eastern border, along with the areas that contain the greatest concentration of Israel’s population, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa. Israel would be stripped of its protective Judea-Samaria mountain ranges. USA Lieut.-General Thomas Kelly, director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Gulf War, pointed out that Israel would be virtually indefensible without those mountainous areas.

An Israeli retreat to the pre-1967 borders would also mean the re-division of Jerusalem. The Arabs would gain control of the Old City section of Jerusalem (known as “east Jerusalem”), which includes the holiest sites in Judaism, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. That area also includes the historic Jewish Quarter and the Mount of Olives cemetery, which is the oldest Jewish cemetery in the world. An Israeli retreat to the indefensible pre-1967 borders would encourage further Arab attacks and lead to an all-out war. (Compiled by JNN editors)

PLO ‘OUTRAGED AND INDIGNANT’ OVER EUROVISION BAN ON PALESTINIAN FLAG: The decision by European broadcasters to ban any display of Palestinian flags during the upcoming Eurovision song contest next month in Sweden provoked outrage in Ramallah. Saeb Erekat, the Palestinian Authority’s top peace negotiator who recently assumed the post of secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation Organization, slammed the decision. In a letter to the European Broadcasting Union, the body in charge of producing the show, Erekat said that the decision to bar the colors of the PLO was “discriminatory and a serious offense against our nation.” The venue hosting the contest this year published guidelines on spectator conduct which includes an official flag policy. While it is customary for fans in the arena to wave the flags of their favorite countries competing in the contest, those wishing to make provocative political statements by waving certain flags of political movements and extremist groups will not be welcome. DONALD TRUMP DISAVOWS DAVID DUKE’S PRAISE: Donald Trump “totally” disavowed an anti-Jewish tirade on his behalf by white supremacist David Duke and said there was no place for anti-Semitism in society, media sources reported 5 May 2016. Duke on his radio program praised Trump’s emergence from the Indiana primary as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee as an opportunity to expose “Jewish supremacists who control our country.” The Anti-Defamation League, which had called on Trump to denounce Duke’s comments, welcomed his disavowal. “While no one should associate Mr. Trump’s own views with David Duke’s hatred, it is vital for political leaders to use their pulpit to speak out against bigotry,” said ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. “We think it is important that Mr. Trump denounced the anti-Semitism of David Duke and has made clear that he disavows anti-Semitism.” (JTA)

PA SEEKS INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR ‘RIGHT’ TO KILL ISRAELIS: The Palestinian Authority (PA) is seeking to have the international forum recognize their “right under international law” to murder Israeli civilians in all places and at all times, which they claim is established by a UN resolution. Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reports that the PA are requesting that Palestinian “heroes and role models” who murdered Israeli civilians should receive an internationally protected right to murder Israeli civilians, that will also be recognized as a positive act that should be awarded. As a means to attain this recognition, the PA is asking the international community to award an imprisoned Palestinian terrorist with the Nobel Peace Prize. As the leader of Fatah's terror wing, Marwan Barghouti orchestrated many terror attacks in which Israelis were murdered. He was convicted in an Israeli court and is serving five life sentences for murder. The PA claims it has the right to murder Israeli civilians according to UN resolution 3236 of 1974, which "recognizes the right of the Palestinian people to regain its rights by all means." The PA interprets "all means" to include violence and killing of civilians, while ignoring the continuation of the resolution which states that the use of "all means" should be "in accordance with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.” The UN Charter prohibits targeting civilians, even in war, and states that "international disputes" should be resolved "by peaceful means." PA’S BILLION DOLLAR TERROR FUNDING SCAM REVEALED: A shocking report on Wednesday 27 April 2016, reveals that the Palestinian Authority (PA) has fooled Western governments, raking in over a billion dollars in aid from them annually despite breaching their demands that it stop paying salaries to terrorist prisoners. The report by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) exposes how the PA has coped since August 2014, when - in the face of demands by the USA and European donor countries that it stop paying salaries to jailed terrorists - it announced it would stop the terror funding. At the time, the PA claimed it would not pay the jailed terrorists their salaries and instead the payment would be made by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the body behind the PA that had its terror status removed in the 1994 Oslo Accords when the PA was created. PMW back in 2014 warned that the PA's announcement was a "ploy" meant to keep the aid keep pumping in to the tune of a billion dollars a year. But nevertheless, the USA and EU member states took the PA at its word and kept forking over donations. (Israel National News)
