TRUMP DECIDED ON SYRIA PULLOUT DURING PHONE CALL WITH ERDOGAN: USA President Trump made the shocking decision to withdraw troops from Syria during a phone call with his Turkish counterpart who said Turkey could clear the remaining jihadists from the country. Trump’s move came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to launch an operation against a Kurdish militia that is fighting against ISIS with American military assistance. Erdogan and Trump spoke on the phone as the American President made his decision. During the conversation Trump told his national security adviser John Bolton to “start the work” to prepare withdrawing troops from Syria. A Turkish daily said that Trump’s order to Bolton came after he asked Erdogan if Turkey would “clean up the remaining Daesh (ISIS) elements if we withdrew from Syria.” Erdogan reportedly told Trump that Turkey had cleared ISIS during its first military operation in northern Syria between 2016 and 2017 and could do so again. Trump replied by telling him to go ahead and do it. (Times of Israel)

Pray against regional responsibilities being put into the hands of national leaders who are dangerous - or potentially dangerous - to the security of Israel. In this case it is Turkey, which shares outstanding trade agreements with the Jewish state, but whose relationship with Israel is often toxic. Turkey is 99.8% Muslim with Islamic leaders eager for power. Under Erdogan, Turkey's relations with Israel has turned sharply negative.

PALESTINIANS SIGNAL THEY WANT ALL OF JERUSALEM: Australia's decision on Saturday 15 Dec. 2018 to officially recognize the western half of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel prompted a number of outbursts, some of them very, very revealing. The government of PM Benjamin Netanyahu expressed disappointment that, unlike USA President Donald Trump, Australian PM Scott Morrison only acknowledged Israeli sovereignty over half of the Holy City, and did not commit to moving his nation's embassy there. The Palestinian Authority also protested Australia's announcement. Many in Israel assumed that the Palestinians would celebrate Australia recognizing only West Jerusalem as Israel's seat of government as yet another repudiation of the Jews' claim to the entire city as their eternal capital. But then PA negotiator Saeb Erekat explained the outrage, and Israelis were again reminded of just how distant a genuine peace based on historical accuracy remains.
"All of Jerusalem remains a final status issue for negotiations, while East Jerusalem, under international law, is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory," insisted Erekat. That came as a surprise to nearly all Israelis, including those to the far left of the political spectrum, who have never considered control of the western half of Jerusalem to be up for negotiation. Did Erekat merely misspeak, or did he reveal that even at the highest levels of the supposedly "moderate" Palestinian government, the long-term goal remains wresting all this land from Israel? At the very least, Erekat's statement should make it clear to the international community that there won't be any kind of peace agreement in the near future, as no Israeli government, regardless of which party is in charge, will ever consider, or be allowed by the public to put West Jerusalem on the table. THE GOAL: NO JEWS IN EUROPE AND NO JEWISH STATE IN THE MIDDLE EAST: “Decades after the Holocaust, shocking and mounting levels of anti-Semitism continue to plague the EU”, Michael O’Flaherty, the director of the European agency, said in a statement. “Jewish people have the right to live freely, without hate and without fear for their safety”. Nice words. But that is exactly the point. European Islamists, the lead actors of this new anti-Semitism along with the leftist useful idiots, are trying to stage a “final solution” of what they call the “Jewish-Zionist cancer” in the Middle East (Iran's Rouhani holds the copyright for that term). They really want a jüdenrein world- without Jews in Europe, fleeing from anti-Semitism, and without Jews in the Middle East, with the destruction of Israel. Europe has become the epicenter of the new war against Israel and the Jews. Europe fights the Jewish State in the political arenas, in the corridors of power in Brussels, in various Western European capitals and the UN, inside Israel with the NGOs it funds, the media and the diplomacy.

Europe is a bystander no more. It has become deliberately responsible for the abominable crime of cultural genocide: wiping out the past existence of a people – the Jews – to eliminate their current political legitimacy and its human, religious, cultural and historical rights. That is why Europe voted along with the Islamic regimes at the recent UN resolutions denying the Jewish history of Jerusalem. We are at the point that many Jews prefer to leave Europe to live in Israel. What a step back, the Jews flee again from Europe to seek peace and security in a country that has only enemies around it, those who as a single entity cultivate the will to find the way to destroy Israel and throw its corpse into the sea. UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY VOTES 87-57 TO CONDEMN HAMAS: A majority of UN member states voted in favor of a General Assembly resolution put forward by the USA on Thur. 6 Dec. 2018 condemning the activities of Hamas and other terror groups in Gaza. While 87 voted in favor, 57 voted against, and 33 abstained, the measure was not adopted because, in a procedural vote held before the main vote on the resolution, it was decided to require a two-thirds majority for passage. USA Representative to the UN, Nikki Haley, said that despite more than 500 General Assembly resolutions condemning Israel, not one condemning Hamas has ever been adopted. She described the two-thirds decision, which passed by just a handful of votes, as "unfair." Israeli PM Netanyahu, however, on Fri. 7 Dec. 2018 hailed majority backing in the UN General Assembly for the USA draft resolution condemning Hamas. "This is the first time that a majority of countries have voted against Hamas and I commend each of the 87 countries that took a principled stand. I thank the American administration and USA ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley for the initiative." (Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs)

HEZBOLLAH MONEY-LAUNDERING HAS A “SAFE HOME IN GERMANY”: German illicit terror finance policies permitted Hezbollah to run a vast enterprise to raise funds through a money laundering operation in Europe and South America. French prosecutors put 15 members of the terrorist organization on trial last week in Paris. The members are charged with laundering Colombian narcotics money with the aid of the Lebanese diaspora. Sven Giegold, a Green Party member of the European Parliament, said “It is fully acceptable that one can pay cash for luxury goods or real estate. There are also no legal limits on the use of cash. Cash from dirty sources has a safe home in Germany.” An export trader, named Ali Z., based in the city of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia is believed to be one of the main Hezbollah agents who oversaw the illegal narcotics operation that trafficked cocaine for a Columbian drug cartel, and used the profits to purchase weapons for Hezbollah to wage war in Syria. Germany allows 950 Hezbollah operatives to raise funds and recruit new members in the Federal Republic, according to numerous intelligence reports in the country. The USA, Canada, the Arab League, the Netherlands and Israel classify Hezbollah a terrorist organization. Germany and the EU merely designate Hezbollah’s military wing as a terrorist entity. On Sunday night, an undercover IDF mission inside Gaza went awry. A high-ranking IDF officer was killed and one was wounded in the ensuing firefight. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cut short an official visit to Paris and flew back to Israel. Breaking Israel News

The latest escalation comes a day after a 41-year-old Israeli officer was killed and another was moderately wounded during an operation in the southern Gaza Strip. At least seven Palestinians were killed, including a commander in Hamas' military wing. Hamas claimed that six of the casualties were part of its organization. HaaretzNews

After a botched intelligence mission by undercover commandos left seven Palestinian fighters dead, the militant group Hamas and other armed factions mounted an intense and escalating rocket and mortar barrage across much of southern Israel that continued into Tuesday morning. New York Times

SIS CLAIMS ATTACK ON CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS IN EGYPT: The ISIS jihadist group on Friday 2 Nov. 2018 claimed an attack on three buses carrying Christian pilgrims on their way to a remote desert monastery south of the Egyptian capital of Cairo. Seven people were killed in the attack and three others were wounded, said the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Interior Ministry. The local ISIS affiliate, which calls itself Sinai Province, claimed responsibility for the attack. ISIS has repeatedly stated its intention to target Egypt's Christians as punishment for their support of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Sisi wrote on his Twitter account that Friday's attack was designed to harm the "nation's solid fabric" and pledged to continue fighting terrorism. Christian sites of worship across Egypt have been repeatedly targeted in attacks claimed by ISIS, prompting the authorities to impose a state of emergency. Coptic Christians make up about 10% of Egypt's predominantly Sunni Muslim population and have been continuously targeted by jihadists in recent years. Friday's attack is the second to target pilgrims heading to St. Samuel the Confessor Monastery. The previous attack in May 2017 left nearly 30 people dead. The Interior Ministry said police were pursuing the attackers, who fled the scene after Friday’s assault. (Arutz-7)

USA ENVOY NIKKI HALEY: PALESTINE IS NOT ANY STATE AT ALL: “The Palestinians are not a UN Member State or any state at all. The United States will continually point that out in our remarks at UN events led by the Palestinians,” USA Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said. She spoke after the UNGA placed the PA at the head of a group of 134 nations, known as the Group of 77. To do so, it had to temporarily confer additional rights on the Palestinians, who have a non-member state status at the United Nations. “Today’s UN mistake undermines the prospects for peace by encouraging the illusion held by some Palestinian leaders that they can advance their goals without direct peace negotiations”. Her office added, “The United States does not recognize a Palestinian state, notes that no such state has been admitted as a UN Member State, and does not believe that the Palestinians are eligible to be admitted as a UN Member State.” USA deputy UN Ambassador Jonathan Cohen told the UNGA that it planned to remind the UN that the Palestinians had not achieved statehood. His words were consistent with the United States position that recognition of Palestinian statehood should only occur after an agreement is reached ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. (J.Post)

THOUSANDS OF ACRES DESTROYED IN 6 MONTHS OF GAZA ARSON BALLOONS: More than 3,000 acres of forest in the Northern and Western Negev desert have been damaged by terrorist arson attacks from Gaza. Marking six months since Gazan Arabs began sending incendiary balloons and kites over the border toward southern Israel, Keren Kayemeth L’Yisrael-Jewish National Fund reported on 10 Oct. 2018 that some 3,279 acres, a total of 12,270 dunams, of forests have been damaged by fires caused by the attacks. Another 4,000 acres of farmland also have been destroyed by the fires. Keren Kayemeth firefighting teams have been on call 24/7, in order to quickly detect and respond to the ongoing fires. KKL-JNF’s Board of Directors last week allocated 100 million shekels, or about $27.5 million, for special projects to help the Gaza border area communities. Meanwhile, copycats in Judea & Samaria have begun to send arson balloons toward Jerusalem and central Israel. An incendiary balloon was discovered on Wed. 10 Oct. 2018 in Jerusalem’s German Colony neighborhood. This comes on the heels of a similar arson balloon discovered in the courtyard of a home in the town of Givat Ze’ev, located just north of Jerusalem. Last week an incendiary balloon landed on a highway near the Modiin industrial zone in central Israel. (INN)

THREE ISRAELI GYMNASTS WIN GOLD MEDALS AT INT’L ACROBATICS COMPETITION: Three 15-year-old Israeli acrobats days ago won the gold in the Budapest Acro Cup for trio pyramid acrobatics at the advanced level between ages 12-18. Shai Horesh from Moshav Hatsev, Shir Edri from Rehovot and Leah Curcus from Rehovot competed against and eventually defeated some of the most renowned teams in the world such as China, Russia, and Great Britain. The Beer Tuvia local council stated "this is pride is a double one, both of the council and of course of Israel." "This is the happiest moment of my life," said an emotional Horesh. The leader of the dynamic trio, Horesh added that "the ambition and passion for personal excellence is an inseparable way of her life." AUSTRIA’S KURTZ TO NETANYAHU: I’M COMMITTED TO FIGHTING ANTI-SEMITISM: PM Benjamin Netanyahu met Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz in New York on 26 Sept. 2018. Netanyahu expressed appreciation for a series of decisions and actions that the Austrian government has adopted in recent months. The chancellor briefed Netanyahu on the steps taken by the Austrian government and parliament to reflect their appreciation of the Jewish community, the memory of the Holocaust and the struggle against anti-Semitism, including the closure of the journal Aula associated with the far-right Freedom Party of Austria. The chancellor said that Austria is committed to fighting anti-Semitism not only in its own country but throughout Europe, and that he intends to urge the leaders of the EU to fight anti-Semitism. Austria is currently the rotating president of the EU. The two leaders also discussed regional challenges and the need to curb Iranian aggression in the region and in the world. (J.Post)

JEWISH VICTIM DIES AFTER TERRORIST STABBING ATTACK: A man murdered in a stabbing attack near the shopping center at the Gush Etzion Junction was identified as Ari Fuld of Efrat, a father of four and a known pro-Israel activist. MDA medics administered first aid and evacuated the man to Shaare Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem. According to the hospital, the victim was connected to a respirator, was sedated and in critical condition. Later, however, his death was confirmed. The terrorist, a 17-year-old from the village of Yatta near Hevron, was shot and moderately wounded. Gush Etzion regional council head Shlomo Ne’eman said following the attack: “I view with severity the serious assault. The purpose of these attackers is one; to disrupt our way of life. Our Arab neighbors have to deal with one single question: Either you live with us here and behave like people, or you choose an aggressive way and pay the full price.” (INN)

TRUMP: JEWS’ STRENGTH AND PERSEVERANCE INSPIRE US ALL: USA President Donald Trump wished the Jewish people a Happy New Year ahead of the holiday of Rosh Hashanah, which began at sundown on 9 September 2018. “Melania and I wish all Jewish people Shana Tova and send our warmest greetings to those celebrating Rosh Hashanah and the start of the High Holy Days,” he said. “Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the New Year in the Jewish faith. Far and wide, the trumpet of the shofar signals both a time of reflection and repentance. Along with devout prayer and fellowship, Jews worldwide will practice teshuva during the Ten Days of Repentance to deepen their relationship with God,” continued Trump. “Today, we reflect on the importance of religious liberty and ask that the Almighty bless Jewish families, both in the United States and around the world. The Jewish people have endured and overcome unthinkable persecution and suffering. Yet, despite the challenges they have faced, their strength and perseverance continue to inspire us all. Melania and I pray that the High Holy Days are filled with God’s peace, love, and mercy. We wish a blessed and happy New Year to all those observing Rosh Hashanah,” concluded the President. (INN)

 “Shana tovah Israel....

ISRAEL'S ROSH HASHANAH GOOD NEWS: With the holiday season fast approaching and with the Jewish year coming to an end, the Central Bureau of Statistics has released its annual tables analyzing Israel's population. Israel has 8.9 million residents, 89% of whom claim to be happy with their lives. These numbers include approximately 6.6 million Jews (74.4%), 1.8 million Arabs (20.9%) and a half million (4.7%) belonging to other minority groups. Throughout this past year alone, 25,000 new olim (immigrants) moved to Israel and 175,000 babies were born here. The State of Israel contains 2.51 million households. The start-up nation is not shy about its high-ranking education systems, especially with the recent report in which both the TechnionUniversity in Haifa and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem were ranked in the top 100 universities in the world. Throughout the country, there are 63 institutions of higher education with 313,000 students. (J.Post)

I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my bounty,’ declares the Lord.”

SITE OF YESHUA'S FIRST MIRACLE UNCOVERED BY EXPERTS: Mystery has surrounded the site of Yeshua’s 'first miracle' for centuries, but an answer may finally be at hand. According to the Gospel of John, Yeshua changed water into wine during the Wedding at Cana. For hundreds of years, pilgrims have believed the site of the miracle to be Kafr Kanna, a town in northern Israel. But the true location has long been debated – and now archaeologists believe the Cana of biblical times may be a dusty hillside five miles further north. Excavations there have revealed a network of tunnels used for Christian worship. It's the former site of Khirbet Qana, a Jewish village between the years of 323 BC and AD 324, where archaeologists have discovered a number of compelling clues. Excavations there have revealed a network of tunnels marked with crosses and references to Kyrie Iesou, a Greek phrase meaning Lord Yeshua. There was also an altar and a shelf with the remains of a stone vessel, plus room for five more. Six stone jars like this held the wine in the biblical account of the miracle. Dr. Tom McCollough, who directs excavations at the site, said there were three other locations with a credible claim to being the Cana of scripture. 'But none has the ensemble of evidence that makes such a persuasive case for Khirbet Qana,' he said. (Daily Mail)

HAMAS CONFIRMS IT DOESN’T WANT PEACE, WILL TORPEDO TRUMP’S PLAN: As elements in Israel and the international community work on a new Middle East peace proposal, they continue to ignore the fact that a sizable portion of the Palestinian population simply isn't interested in a peace that enables Israel to continue existing. Unfortunately, that part of Palestinian society, even if it is a minority, is large enough to effectively scuttle any efforts to end the conflict. Case in point, the last Palestinian legislative election was easily won by Hamas, a group that reaffirmed just this week that its primary goal remains the downfall of the Jewish state. And a majority of Palestinian voters chose these guys to lead their government. At an event in the Gaza Strip, Hamas leaders declared that they remain dedicated to the mission of "liberating the land of Palestine and the holy places of Islam and Christianity." Hamas further vowed to do everything in its power to torpedo the so-called "deal of the century" being formulated by USA President Donald Trump. (Israel Today)

PALESTINIAN USA CONGRESSWOMAN-TO-BE VOWS TO VOTE AGAINST ISRAEL AID: Rashida Tlaib, the soon-to-be first Muslim congresswoman in the United States, said that she would "absolutely" vote against military aid for Israel when questioned during a media interview on 13 August 2018. “For me USA aid should be leverage," said Tlaib. "I will be using my position in congress so that no country, not one, should be able to get aid from the USA, when they still promote injustice." Talib, when asked about her views on the Arab-Israeli conflict, said that "So much is about choosing a side. I am for making sure that every single person there has the right to thrive." The future congresswoman is a Detroit native and born to a family of Palestinian immigrants to the USA. On 7 August, 2018 she won her district's Democratic nomination for Michigan's 13th Congressional district, encompassing parts of Detroit and surrounding suburbs and home to one of the largest Muslim and Arab-American populations in the United States. Since no one ran in the Republican primary, Tlaib is poised to win the seat. (J.Post)

ELIE WIESEL’S CHILDHOOD HOME IN ROMANIA VANDALIZED WITH ANTI- SEMITIC GRAFFITI: Unidentified individuals spray painted offensive graffiti on the external walls of a museum for Elie Wiesel in Romania, where he was also born. The florescent pink graffiti that was painted on the Memorial House Elie Wiesel in Sighet in eastern Romania read “public toilet” and “Nazi Jew lying in hell with Hitler” as well as “Anti-Semite pedophile.” Wiesel was one of the world’s most famous Holocaust survivors before he passed away in 2016 at the age of 87. A Nobel Prize laureate for literature, he was honored last year by locals in his hometown. They marched from the museum, which was built where Wiesel was born and grew up, to the train station where in 1944 he boarded with his family a train to the Auschwitz death camp in Poland. “What was done is unforgivable,” said Chaim Chesler, co-founder of Limmud FSU. Chesler’s group sets up cultural events for Jews across the former Soviet Union and other places where many Russian-speaking Jews live. “Elie is a symbol for all Holocaust survivors and that makes this incident especially painful. Everything must be done so that such cases not repeat themselves.” (JTA)

ERODOGAN CONGRATULATES ‘BRAVE’ PA TEEN WHO SLAPPED SOLDIERS: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday, 29 July 2018 congratulated Palestinian Arab teen Ahed Tamimi in a phone call hours after her release from an Israeli prison. Tamimi, 17, who was filmed slapping an Israeli soldier during a protest of leftists and Palestinian Arabs in her town of Nabi Saleh, was sentenced to eight months' imprisonment and fined 5,000 shekels as part of a plea bargain. Erdogan lauded her “bravery and determination to fight”. After her release, Tamimi went to Ramallah, where she met with Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas. The PA chairman said during the meeting that "the Palestinian young woman Ahed Tamimi is an example of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence and for the establishment of our independent Palestinian state." In a press conference in Ramallah, Tamimi said, “We will continue the resistance to achieve the freedom of the Palestinian people. We must boycott and isolate the [so-called Israeli] occupation and put it on trial.” (Arutz-)

HAMAS RECRUITING HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN FOR FRIDAY PROTEST: Hamas appears intent on increasing the dangers amidst ongoing tensions with Israel. With the sides on the cusp of war, whereby one small, even unintentional incident, might tip the scale in favor of full-blown conflict, Gaza’s rulers have decided to recruit hundreds of Palestinian children from across the enclave to take part in Friday’s 28 July, 2018 installment of the so-called “March of Return” protests. The children will amass, along with potentially tens of thousands of other Gazans, near the Erez crossing point with Israel in order to denounce the [so called] “violation of their fundamental rights.” The Gaza Strip border protests despite their ostensible non-violent purpose have invariably descended into chaos. More than 130 Palestinians have been killed, mainly by Israeli live-fire, with thousands more injured primarily as a result of tear gas inhalation. Abd Lateef Kanou, a Hamas spokesperson in Gaza, when pressed whether precautions are being taken to ensure the children remain safe, Kanou stated simply that Israel’s targeting of them would confirm its “immoral” behavior. “When there are hundreds of kids who wants to protest against their reality, this clearly demonstrates the Palestinians’ will to achieve their legitimate rights,” he concluded. While much of the international community has condemned Israel for its use of force to protect its frontier, the United States repeatedly has laid the blame squarely on Gaza’s leadership. “We believe that Hamas as an organization is engaged in cynical action that is leading to these deaths,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah recently told reporters. “The responsibility for these tragic deaths rests squarely with Hamas.” (Medialine)

UN SECURITY COUNCIL TO DISCUSS GAZA ESCALATION: On Tues. 24 July 2018, the United Nations Security Council will discuss the latest escalation in Gaza. In a letter to the UN Security Council, Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon wrote: “After months of ongoing terror through rocket fire, violent demonstrations on the border, and the burning of thousands of acres of agricultural land, Hamas terrorists opened fire Friday on IDF soldiers near the border. An IDF soldier was killed in this unprovoked attack. Hamas is solely responsible for the escalation. The Security Council and the international community must unequivocally condemn Hamas immediately, which perpetrates violence and terror against Israeli communities, endangering their lives, and holds the entire Palestinian population of Gaza hostage.” On Friday evening, 20 July 2018 Gaza terrorists fired three rockets at Israel. Two of them were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system, and the third fell in an open field near an Israeli town. (Arutz-7)

WHITE HOUSE: ISRAEL HAS A RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF: A White House official said on Friday 20 July 2018 that Israel has a right to defend itself against Hamas attacks, and called on the terrorist group which controls Gaza to end the escalation. "Israel has a right to defend itself. Hamas’ aggression only produced misery for Gaza. Among victims of this situation are many Palestinians who aren't rioting but whose futures are dimmed by Hamas radicalism. Hamas must end this disastrous cycle," the official told Israel’s Channel 10 News. The comments came hours after IAF jets on Friday evening struck dozens of military targets belonging to Hamas in northern and southern Gaza, in response to a serious incident near the border in which an IDF soldier was killed by terrorist snipers. GERMANY INCREASES FUNDING FOR HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS BY $88 MILLION: The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany in its announcement last week said the increase brings global allocations by Germany for 2019 to $564 million. The Claims Conference and representatives of the German government negotiated the increase in Washington, D.C. During the negotiations, the German officials were taken on a tour of the USA Holocaust Memorial Museum and heard from survivors about their personal experiences. “The significant increase for social welfare services secured by our negotiating team will lead to more home care, food support, medicine and transportation services for Jewish Holocaust survivors around the world,” said Claims Conference President Julius Berman. Also as a result of the negotiations, 55,000 Holocaust survivors in Central and Eastern Europe will see an increase in pensions and more child survivors who were living in hiding or under a false identity will be eligible to receive payments. (JTA)

Pray that these additional funds will reach Holocaust survivors quickly and not be waylaid in bureaucracy as the majority of the victims of Nazi horrors are extremely elderly and many live in poverty.

ISRAELI RESEARCHERS EXPERIMENTING WITH LATE-STAGE CANCER CURE: Israeli scientists are experimenting with immunotherapy, which manipulates one's immune system to identify, fight and destroy cancer cells. While immunotherapy has been around for decades, new advances in the field coupled with recent drug approvals from the USA Food & Drug Administration have intensified interest in immunotherapy and its applications for cancer treatment, especially late-stage cancers that resist conventional treatments. Immunotherapy drugs already are helping patients with melanoma, lung, stomach, liver and bladder cancers, as well as some blood cancers. “Recent developments in immunotherapy have ushered in a medical revolution, representing a real paradigm shift in cancer treatment,” said Dr. Mark Israel, national executive director of the Israel Cancer Research Fund. “Cancer immunotherapy is exciting because, as opposed to other forms of therapy, it engages the body’s own highly sensitive system for detecting cancer cells and destroying them,” Israel said. Dr. Nathan Karin, an Israeli immunologist and his team are studying whether the cellular mechanisms driving autoimmune diseases like Type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis can be utilized to create immunotherapy drugs to fight cancer. They are researching the interplay between two types of cells vital to the immune system: regulatory T cells and effector T cells. By suppressing effector T cells, they impede the immune system’s ability to fight cancer. “We believe that if you amplify regulatory T cells you can treat autoimmune disease, and if you block their activity you can thwart cancer,” Karin said. SYRIAN REFUGEES MASSING ON ISRAEL’S BORDER: Syrian civilians fleeing a fresh military offensive by their own government and its Russian allies have been massing on the border of Israel's Golan Heights. They say that being as close as possible to Israeli forces is the safest place to be, presumably because Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and Russia are wary of drawing Israel further into the country's bloody civil war. Assad wants to end the official rebellion (which is largely unrelated to the fight against ISIS and other jihadist groups) by retaking the last major rebel stronghold, the Daraa region of southwestern Syria. This area borders both Jordan and Israel. It is through Daraa that well over half a million Syrians have crossed the border to find refuge in Jordan. But, the Hashemite Kingdom has now said "no more." Jordan last week officially closed its border to additional Syrian refugees. It was the worst possible timing for the residents of Daraa, as regime and Russia warplanes began indiscriminately bombing everything in sight in preparation for a major military push into the region. Waseem Kiwan, a resident of Daraa city said that the Russians are bombing everything, including hospitals and UN facilities. As a result, many of these Syrians now feel that the "safest place is the border with Israel because the regime and Russian airplanes cannot strike the area near the Israeli border," said Kiwan. (Israel Today)

Pray for God’s mercy to protect and provide for these newly displaced Syrians, besieged by their own government, until they are able to return to their homes. Intercede for the safety of Israel’s northern borders as so much conflict continues to take place in close proximity to the Jewish state.

HAMAS LEADER PAID GAZAN FAMILY TO LIE ABOUT BABY’S DEATH: Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar paid a Gazan family to lie about eight-month-old Leila al-Ghandour dying from tear gas inhalation rather than from a pre-existing medical condition during the border riots last month, according to an indictment filed with the Beersheba District Court on Thurs. 21 June 2018. Ghandour's death sparked global criticism, but the Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza later crossed the baby's name off the official list of people killed during deadly border riots, pending further investigation. A 20-year-old Gaza resident Mahmoud Omar, who was arrested during the "March of Return" riots last month, said he had arrived at the border fence with other al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and tried to vandalize one of the border crossing's gates. At some point, he received a phone call from his mother, informing him that his niece had died. When Omar got home, the indictment says, he found out that the baby had died from a blood disease, which was similar to a disease that caused the death of her brother, Salim al-Ghandour, who had died in 2017 when he was only a few months old. He then discovered that the baby's parents had told the media that Leila had died after inhaling tear gas fired by the IDF during the border protests. Omar told his investigators that Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader in Gaza, had paid the family about $2,200 to lie and say that Leila had died of tear gas inhalation. (Ynet)

REPORT: RUSSIA DEMANDED WITHDRAWAL – HEZBOLLAH REFUSED: The Lebanese Shi’ite terror group Hezbollah has refused demands by Russia that it withdraw its forces from southwestern Syria as part of larger removal of foreign military assets from the vicinity of the Israeli border. According to a report on Thurs. 14 June 2018 by the London-based anti-Assad Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), Russia has demanded that Hezbollah pull out from large parts of war-torn Syria, as part of an understanding with Israel regarding the withdrawal of non-Syrian forces from the vicinity of the Israel-Syria border. Last month, following talks with Israeli officials, Russia expressed support for the removal of non-Syrian forces from southwestern Syria. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov endorsed the “withdrawal of all non-Syrian forces” – a long-standing Israeli demand, aimed primarily at Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and its allies, including Hezbollah. Russia has sought to avoid accidental “military incidents” with Israel, and prevent a massive escalation between Israel and Iranian forces in Syria. But according to the SOHR Thursday, Hezbollah has refused Moscow’s demands, and is in fact “renewing its ranks” in western Syria in defiance of Russia’s calls for a withdrawal. Last week, Iranian officials denied claims Tehran was preparing to pull out of Syria. (Arutz-7)

‘TERROR KITES’ SPARK 11 FIRES IN SOUTHERN ISRAEL’: Eleven separate fires have been sparked in the south by incendiary devices sent across the border by terrorists using kites in the Gaza Strips since the beginning of 1 June 2018. Over the last few weeks, terrorists in Gaza have attempted to set fires in Israeli territory through the flying of kites and balloons attached to incendiary devices such as firebombs. Over 4,000 dunams (approximately 1,000 acres) of Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) owned forests have been burned since the arson attacks began. Danny Ben David, director of the western Negev region at the JNF, explained to the amount of forest burned by the incendiary kites and balloons in recent weeks has exceeded the total which was burned during Operation Protective Edge in 2014, when Hamas terrorists launched over 4,500 rockets and mortars at Israel. "During Protective Edge, 3,500 dunams of forest were burned and now with the kite terror we have crossed this huge number. It's simply a scandal. I've already passed the stage of grief, now I'm just terribly angry," Ben David said. Ben-David has spent the last few months putting out the fires in the Gaza vicinity. He and others run from fire to fire and try to minimize the irreversible damage. JNF personnel have also found animal carcasses in the area: burnt turtles, bird nests, as well as destroyed eucalyptus and pine trees. The damage to entire species remains unknown. Ben-David noted that there is no end to the kite terrorism in sight. "We run from fire to fire. We do not have time to think about anything else. On 8 Friday 2018 we were here until 8 pm, and it was the same yesterday. It was crazy." Seventeen fires were caused by kite terrorism on Saturday. 10 June, 2018. (Arutz-7)

REPORT: PUTIN GIVES OK TO ISRAELI STRIKES ON SYRIA: According to a report in a leading Arabic website, Moscow has given its consent to Israeli military strikes deep in Syrian territory. Al-Sharq al-Awsat reported Friday 1 June 2018 that Moscow and Jerusalem held talks the previous day concerning Syria and agreed to “limit” the Iranian presence in the south of the country. Israeli counterpart Avigdor Liberman met in Moscow with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Shoigu, while Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu and President Vladimir Putin spoke about Syria over the phone. The two sides agreed to “limit” Iran, keep its forces away from the south, and to allow the IDF to target "menacing bases in the deep Syrian territories," according to the influential London-based website. The Kremlin confirmed that the conversation between Putin and Netanyahu focused on “some aspects of the Syrian settlement.” A Russian source told Asharq Al-Awsat that Moscow refuses to offer details about the understanding with Jerusalem "to respect the balance in its separate relationships with Israel and Iran" – as the report phrased it. “Russia is somehow embarrassed because talks with the Israelis mainly focus on a plan to remove Iran and its forces from southern Syria,” the source added. Liberman told Shoigu that “Israel greatly appreciates Russia's understanding of our security needs especially regarding the situation on our northern border." (Arutz-7)

DEVELOPING NEWS:
THREE ISRAELI SOLDIERS WOUNDED; GAZA APPEARS ON THE BRINK OF WAR: Three Israeli soldiers have reportedly been wounded during multiple barrages of mortar shells and short-range rockets fired by terrorist forces operating out of the Gaza Strip. At least 50 mortars and rockets were fired into southern Israel on Tues. 29 May 2018. Israel has so far responded with targeted artillery and aerial strikes on terrorist positions in Gaza, but officials are hinting that the volatile coastal enclave could be facing a far more severe Israeli response if the escalation continues. (Israel Today)

Intercede against the escalation of rocket fire and violent aggression towards Israel stemming from the Gaza Strip. Pray for the swift and complete recovery of the Israeli soldiers that have been injured.

IRAN’S SECRET MISSILE FACILITY EXPOSED: A California weapons research team has discovered evidence that Iran continues to develop advanced missiles at a secret facility, the NY Times reported Wed. 23 May 2018. An analysis of satellite images showed that the facility's activity is focused on the development of advanced rocket engines and rocket fuel, and that the activity is often carried out under cover of night. The facility is named the Shahrud Facility and is located about 250 miles east of Tehran. The discovery rekindled fears of Tehran's intentions to develop intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) capable of reaching far beyond the Middle East. Such plans were thought to have experienced a major setback when a previous facility exploded in 2011. Michael Elleman, a missile expert at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, called the evidence "disturbing." The work done at the facility could be the beginning of Tehran's plans for "developing an ICBM five to 10 years down the road, should Tehran wish to do so," said Elleman. (Arutz-7)

EMERGENCY SITUATION IN ISRAEL AS IDF TROOPS DEPLOYED TO ALL BORDERS: Israel is on high alert as her borders are threatened on all sides. Israel’s Defense Force (IDF) has increased the presence of both active duty and reservists to fortify the country’s borders. “These are not regular days in the Middle East,” said General (res.) Yehiel Gozal. “If this situation doesn’t quickly get under control, it is likely that a war will develop.” Gozal’s statement came following the news that 40,000 Palestinians were rioting at Israel’s southern Gaza border. Thus far, 62 rioters have been killed by IDF forces and at least 2,000 have been injured. Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry has proudly stated that of those killed, 50 were members of the Hamas terror group. “In the last rounds of confrontations, 62 people were martyred, 50 of the martyrs were Hamas and 12 from the people,” said Hamas official Salah Bardawil. Although the international media is reporting that the Palestinians were holding peaceful protests, films of the riots paint a very different picture.

Rioters have set tires ablaze, planted bombs, flown incendiary kites into Israel destroying Israeli fields, and hurled firebombs, Molotov cocktails, and stones at IDF troops. Serious escalation of the situation occurred when Palestinians directed machine gun fire from Gaza at IDF aerial vehicles. Several residences in the Israeli border town of Sderot were hit. Gozal told media sources that the IDF has increased its presence by placing both reservists and active duty soldiers on every one of Israel’s borders as well as in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. Every soldier is on high alert including Israel’s air force, navy, ground forces and intelligence. In addition to the present danger on Israel’s southern borders, Gozal pointed out that the Hezbollah terrorist group, along with Iran, “are waiting to join an attack on Israel from Lebanon on Israel’s northern border. All these happenings have placed Israel in an emergency situation.” (Breaking Israel News)

Bill Wilson, Daily Jot writes...

On August 15, 2005, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon began forcibly removing Jewish settlers from their homes in Gaza under what was known as Israeli Disengagement. By September 12, Sharon had unilaterally given up Gaza as a peace offering to the "Palestinians," who had adopted the slogan "Gaza today, Jerusalem tomorrow." On August 15, 2005, The Daily Jot reported: "It is almost chilling to watch the events leading up to Israeli Prime Minister Arial Sharon's so-called "disengagement" plan as the world pressures Israel to unilaterally give up covenant land for the mere hope upon hope that there might be a semblance of peace between Israel and the Palestinians."

The 8/15/2005 Jot continued: "Former Sharon cabinet member and once Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu plead with Israeli leadership last week to end the disengagement plan and to come to its senses.  Like many, Netanyahu believes giving up land without concessions is a demonstration that terrorism pays and that Israel's national security will be forever threatened.  Certainly Israel's military understands the significance of Netanyahu's concerns.  Middle East News Line reports that Israel's military has revised its withdrawal plan to account for a scenario under which the eviction of Jewish residents from the Gaza Strip would be completed amid massive Palestinian fire and heavy Israeli casualties.

"Netanyahu called disengagement an "evil" and urged Members of the Knesset to stop it. He said he has warned the Sharon government that the Palestinians will only use the Gaza land to establish a terrorist base of operations and that the nation of Israel's defense and security may be undermined by disengagement.  He said, "I am calling on all those who grasp the danger: Gather strength and do the right thing. I don't know if the entire move can be stopped, but it still might be stopped in its initial stages." And he warned, "The government is advancing in total blindness. They have eyes but don't see. They have ears but don't hear."" By June 2006, "Palestinians" were launching missiles from Gaza at civilian targets in Israel.

Fast forward over a decade later and the headlines read "Clashes erupt along Gaza-Israel border ahead of US Embassy inauguration" and "100,000 Palestinians gather for March of Return from Gaza." Reports are saying the Hamas-led "Palestinians" want to take Jerusalem and prevent the US from moving its embassy there. The 2005 Disengagement is a reflection of Jeremiah 6:14, "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people lightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace." Netanyahu and others who opposed "Disengagement" 13 years ago look like prophets. Sadly, those who warned of the peril of Gaza at the time are experiencing the consequences of such foolish leadership today.

ISRAEL ATTACKS 50 IRANIAN TARGETS IN SYRIA AFTER IRAN TARGETS ISRAELI BASES: After Iranian forces in Syria launched a rocket attack on Israeli army bases in the Golan Heights on Wed. 9 May, 2018, the IDF attacked more than 50 Iranian targets in Syria in "one of the greatest operations of the Israel Air Force in the past decade," IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Ronen Manelis said. "It will take the Iranians a long time to rehabilitate." Israel said its targets included weapons storage, logistics sites and intelligence centers used by elite Iranian forces in Syria. It also said it destroyed five Syrian air-defense batteries after coming under heavy fire. It said none of its warplanes were hit. A source in the Israeli security establishment said this attack was the largest carried out by Israel since it signed a disengagement agreement with Syria in May 1974. The Israeli military warned Syria not to respond to its attack. Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Thurs. morning 10 May, 2018 that the IDF had destroyed “nearly all” of Iran’s military infrastructure sites in Syria overnight in response to a rocket barrage on Israel’s north, and warned Tehran that attacks on Israeli territory will be met with “the strongest possible force.” (Ha’aretz/NY Times)

GUATEMALAN FLAG FLIES IN JERUSALEM: Guatemala's embassy in Israel moved on 31 April 2018 to its new location in Jerusalem. An official ceremony celebrating the move will take place on 16 May 2018 after the USA relocates its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. PM Netanyahu said that he is "excited to see the Guatemalan flag flying in Jerusalem ahead of the opening of the Embassy this month. Dear friends, welcome back to our eternal capital!" (Arutz-7)

MATTIS WARNS OF ‘LIKELY’ CONFLICT BETWEEN ISRAEL AND IRAN: Direct conflict between Israeli and Iranian forces is increasingly likely in Syria as Tehran pursues a permanent military presence there, USA Secretary of Defense James Mattis warned on 26 April 2018. Addressing a congressional panel before hosting his Israeli counterpart, Avigdor Liberman, at the Pentagon, Mattis said it was “very likely” from his perspective, “because Iran continues to do its proxy work there through Hezbollah.” Receiving Liberman, Mattis told reporters that he saw no reason for Iran to ship advanced missiles to Hezbollah through Syria except to threaten Israel. “I can see how it might start, but I am not sure when or where,” the secretary told lawmakers. Mattis then echoed Liberman’s warning from earlier in the day, in which he said Israeli forces would strike Tehran if Iranian missiles ever hit Tel Aviv. The two met at the Pentagon after Liberman met with USA President Donald Trump’s national security advisor, John Bolton. (J.Post)

STATE DEPT. DROPS ‘OCCUPIED’ REFERENCE TO PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES IN REPORT: An annual USA government report on human rights has dropped reference to the Palestinian territories as "occupied" for the first time since 1979. The State Department report, now lists its section on Israel and the territories by their names: Gaza and the West Bank, (Judea & Samaria) alongside the Golan Heights. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005 and has no administrative control over the Strip. But it maintains full security control over Judea & Samaria through military occupation, and continues to approve construction for Israeli settlers to live there. "The lie of the occupied Palestinian territories begins to be revealed," Israel's Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman wrote in response to the new report. "They say that a lie repeated often enough becomes true, but the truth is always stronger. The State Department report is proof of that," Liberman wrote. (Arutz-7)

IRANIAN GENERAL: ‘DATE SET’ FOR DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL: Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari, the commander of the Iranian ground forces, said in a speech last week that Iran's army is "much stronger than in the past" and that Israel can no longer threaten the Islamic Republic. The Iranian news agency Mehr reported that the general said that "the date has already been set" for the destruction of Israel. He stressed that unlike Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region, which import weapons from the West, his country produces its own weapons. Iran's military budget for 2017 was $15.9 billion, an increase of almost 65% from 2014. Tensions between Israel and Iran have been rising over Iran's military presence in Syria. Israeli security officials revealed that Iran is now preparing for a direct assault on Israel, using its growing military assets on Israel’s northern border to strike targets inside the Jewish state. THE NUMBERS BEHIND THE MURDEROUS ATTACKS: Terror attacks in Israel have left 3,175 orphans, 822 widows, and 926 bereaved parents who live among us today. Ahead of the Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of Israel and Victims of Terrorism, which will be marked on Wed.18 April, 2018 the National Insurance Institute said the number of civilians killed in terrorist attacks since the declaration of the State of Israel in 1948 stands at 3,134. This figure also includes 122 foreign nationals killed in terrorist attacks in Israel and 100 Israelis who died abroad. In the past year, from the last Independence Day, 12 Israelis have been murdered, with the last one being Adiel Kolman, who was stabbed to death in Jerusalem on his way to the Western Wall last month. The terrorist attacks have left 3,175 orphans, including 114 who lost both their parents, 822 widows, and 926 bereaved parents who live among us today. (INN)

TRUMP WANTS OUT OF SYRIA:
The White House said days ago that the USA military mission in Syria was coming to “a rapid end” even as President Trump has insisted it’s time for American troops to return home. With Israel and other USA allies anxious about a hasty USA withdrawal, the Trump administration said it would stay in war-torn Syria to finish off the job of defeating the ISIS group and was committed to eliminating the terrorists’ “small” presence that “our forces have not already eradicated.” There have been clear signs the United States was narrowing its mission in Syria and would focus only on defeating ISIS and not on the broader task of stabilizing the country. “We will continue to consult with our allies and friends regarding future plans,” said White House press secretary Sarah Sanders. “We expect countries in the region and beyond, plus the UN, to work toward peace and ensure” that ISIS never returns. USA officials and foreign governments have been concerned that without a continued American military presence, ISIS could re-constitute itself or others could fill the void. Many have warned that a premature USA withdrawal from Syria would cede the country to Iran and Russia, which have supported Syrian President Bashar Assad. Iran’s continued presence in Syria is especially troubling to neighboring Israel that regards Iran as an existential threat. (World Israel)

USA BLOCKS UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION CALLING FOR INVESTIGATION OF GAZA BORDER VIOLENCE:
The United States blocked a UN Security Council statement calling for an investigation of Israel’s use of force against Palestinians who massed on Gaza’s border. The statement proposed on 31 March 2018 called for an investigation of the Israel Defense Forces use of live fire, rubber bullets and other crowd control methods to push back the estimated 30,000 Palestinians in six spots along the border. Some of the Palestinians threw firebombs and rocks, and planted explosives on the border, according to the IDF. “While Jews around the world gathered with their family at the Seder table to celebrate the Passover holiday, the Palestinians sunk to a new deceitful low so that they could use the UN to spread lies about Israel,” said Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon. “This shameful exploitation of our holiday will not succeed in stopping us from speaking the truth about the Hamas terror-gatherings that aim to destabilize the region,” he added. Hamas said the lack of a resolution from the Security Council about the border clashes due to the USA rejection showed that Washington is “fully biased” for Israel. (JTA)

NETANYAHU ANSWERS TURKEY’S ERDOGAN OVER GAZA: Turkish President Erdogan on Sunday 1 April, 2018 said, "Israel has carried out a massacre in Gaza and Netanyahu is a terrorist." In response, Israeli PM Netanyahu said, "Anyone who occupies Northern Cyprus, invades the Kurds, and massacres civilians in Afrin shouldn't lecture us on morality and values." Earlier on Sunday he said, "The most moral army in the world will not be lectured to by someone who for years has been bombing civilian populations indiscriminately." (Ha'aretz)

EMBASSY MOVE: ‘THIS IS A HISTORIC MOMENT’: Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon signed a special waiver on Wed. 28 March 2018, permitting the USA State Department to upgrade a facility designated to serve as America’s interim embassy in Israel. The move comes after diplomats from both countries expressed concern that plans by the USA to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to the Israeli capital in time for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Israel on 14 May 2018 were jeopardized by bureaucratic red-tape. Kahlon issued the waiver permitting the USA to upgrade its consular facility in the Arnona neighborhood of Jerusalem to an embassy. “I’m happy and proud to use my authority as Finance Minister of the State of Israel to sign this order permitting President Trump to fulfill his promise to move the USA embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” said Kahlon. “This is a historic moment we have awaited for many years. This order is now signed after a great deal of work carried out in a short period of time.” (Arutz-7)

ISRAELI MINISTERS PRAISE APPOINTMENT OF JOHN BOLTON: Two ministers from Israel’s right-wing Jewish Home party and another from the ruling Likud party congratulated former USA ambassador to the UN John Bolton on 23 March, 2018 for his appointment as USA President Donald Trump’s new national security adviser. Education Minister Naftali Bennett tweeted that it was a “great appointment” and that Bolton, considered a foreign policy hawk who is opposed to the Iran nuclear deal, was a “stalwart friend of Israel.” Environment Minister Ze’ev Elkin of Likud said Bolton was not unknown to Israel. “He has been, unquestionably, a friend of Israel for many years, including in his position as USA ambassador to the UN. I have no doubt it will be comfortable for us to work with him.” (Times of Israel)

ISRAEL PREPARING FOR WAR ON SIX FRONTS: Last week at the graduation ceremony for new Israeli naval officers, IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Gen. Aviv Kochavi said that the Jewish state was preparing for war on no fewer than six fronts. Kochavi did not list those fronts, except to say that Iran is among them. The others can be guessed at: Egyptian Sinai, where ISIS holds sway; Hamas-ruled Gaza; Lebanon; Syria; and the cyber realm. Of course, many of those other threats are being encouraged and even financed by Iran. Last week, Israel launched massive war drills together with 2,500 visiting American soldiers. As part of those drills, air raid sirens sounded throughout the country on 13 March 2018, unfortunately frightening those who were unaware it was just an exercise. (Israel Today)

TRUMP TO NETANYAHU: "IF EUROPE WON’T FIX IRAN DEAL, USA WILL NIX AGREEMENT” The Trump administration has vowed to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal if European allies refuse to agree to major modifications to the agreement, according to a report Sunday night 11 March, 2018. According to the report, USA President Trump told PM Netanyahu during their meeting last week that the changes the Europeans had proposed to the 2015 agreement were "cosmetic" in nature and not substantive, and were therefore unacceptable. Trump has signaled that he will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal if substantive changes are not made to the agreement. The deal has been criticized for failing to address Iran's ballistic weapons program and for including 'sunset clauses' under which many of the restrictions on Iran's nuclear program would expire, and for failing to create an adequate inspection regime to assess Iran's compliance with the agreement. “FIX THE IRAN DEAL OR CANCEL IT”: Israel’s PM Netanyahu on Tues. 6 March 2018, held a series of meetings on Capitol Hill following his speech at the AIPAC Policy Conference. The prime minister met with leaders including Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer. Later, Netanyahu met with members of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee. He also met with House Speaker Paul Ryan and with members of the leadership of the House of Representatives from both parties. Netanyahu told the lawmakers, "This place represents the American people, the great friends of the people of Israel, who give thanks to all of you." Speaker Ryan responded, “In the name of the bipartisan leadership here in the House of Representatives, we welcome you, Prime Minister, you are a great friend and a great ally, we are very excited by the ongoing dialogue between us." The prime minister described Iran's aggression in the region and its attempts to establish a military base in Syria, and noted Israel's determined position to prevent it. Netanyahu also presented the dangers in the Iranian nuclear deal and said that there was a need to fully correct the failures of the agreement or to cancel it. (Arutz-7)

--Iranian sources claimed this week that Iran has tripled its production of missiles. Please continue to intercede for global astuteness and divinely conscripted strategies to come into play that will avert and dismantle the threat Iran is to Israel and the nations. Iran has missiles capable of striking Israel on the other side of the region. But far more dangerous is Iran's effort to establish missile bases in neighboring Syria. With this increased missile production and a firm military foothold in Israel's war-torn neighbor, the Iranian threat to the Jewish state has grown exponentially.

IRAN LAUNCHES FESTIVAL TO CELEBRATE ISRAEL’S 'IMMINENT COLLAPSE’: The Islamic Republic of Iran is gearing up for its first ever “International Hourglass Festival”, celebrating what organizers call the “imminent collapse” of the Jewish state. The symbol chosen to represent the event features an hourglass with a Star of David disintegrating above the words “25 Years” – an apparent reference to the predictions made by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2016 and reiterated by Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi in 2017. Organizers announced that the festival would be held in Tehran in April 2018. Some 2,400 anti-Israel NGOS around the world have agreed to promote the event globally. The festival not only targets Israel, but also the USA over its support of Israel, and even the Saudi government. (INN)

USA EMBASSY TRANSFER TO JERUSALEM IN MAY 2018: USA President Donald Trump announced on 23 Feb. 2018 that he'd be accelerating the transfer of the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The USA mission is slated to being moved in phases to its consular facility in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Arnona starting in May 2018. The first stages of the move are expected to see Ambassador David Friedman, and a small personal staff, take up offices at the Arnona facility, officially granting it the status of "embassy." Later, a full embassy annex will be added to the complex, with a new embassy facility to be built elsewhere in the city during the years to come. Israeli government ministers called Trump's announcement an "Independence Day gift," given that the May transfer coincides with Israel's 70th anniversary celebrations. (Israel Today)

HEBREW U. RESEARCHERS SHOW WHICH FOODS PREVENT, PROMOTE DEMENTIA: Foods can determine whether someone will suffer from dementia in later years, according to researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment in Rehovot. A large-scale international study that included the university recently examined how food affects brain health for people aged 50 and older. The researchers were able to show that diet affects the risk of dementia. Among the foods proven to prevent dementia are: blueberries (not just the juice), healthful fats (as in olive oil), nuts (in small amounts to avoid excess calories), and fish. Other beneficial foods include: beans and legumes, fruits, low-calorie dairy products like yogurt, chicken and whole-grain cereals. Among the foods that have been shown to promote dementia are: fried foods, sugary foods, processed foods, red meat, fat, cheese and salt. (J.Post)
