The US is ready to permit Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley for ten years, following the signing of an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord.

What am I missing here.??.  By what authority does Kerry and the USA "permit" Israel to occupy their own land.??. 

This would be laughable if it were not so disturbing and dangerous for all concerned. 

Since US-brokered peace talks resumed at the end of July, Israeli and Palestinian delegations have held more than 15 sessions. The meetings, which took place in Jerusalem and Palestinian-ruled Jericho, focused on thorny “final status” issues: Jewish settlements, Palestinian refugees and the future borders of a Palestinian state; but the most dramatic debate was on Jerusalem.

US Secretary of State John Kerry stepped up the pressure on Israel to reach a deal within the nine-month framework (i.e., by the end of April 2014), warning that failure could spark a Third Intifada (Palestinian uprising).

“How many times does Israel have to make concessions until the world realizes that peace with the Muslim nations is almost impossible?” an official in the Prime Minister’s Office said to Israel Today. “The Arab states cannot come to terms with a Jewish state in their midst.”

Former Israeli and American intelligence chiefs this week said the deal US President Barack Obama and other Western leaders struck with Iran last week in Geneva had essentially allowed the Islamic Republic to become a “nuclear threshold state.”

More accurately, former Israeli military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin said that the West had failed for decades to adequately confront the Iranian nuclear threat, and so had finally given up and signed a bad deal.

“The fact that Iran is a nuclear threshold state does not derive from this agreement, but because the Iranians have developed capabilities for years, and no one can stop them,” Yadlin said at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv. “Iran is on the verge of producing a bomb. It’s sad, but it’s a fact.”

According to a recent news report, President Barack Obama has for over a year secretly conducted negotiations with Iran (through his adviser Valerie Jarrett) and the Geneva talks on Iranian nukes now appear to be just a facade providing international legitimacy for Obama's secret deal with Iran. Secretary of State John Kerry's contradictory criticism of Israeli objections to that deal only suggest more bad faith by the Obama administration. Kerry claims that Israel has been kept fully apprised of the negotiations with Iran, but then argues that Israel has never seen the terms of the proposed deal with Iran and therefore shouldn't question it.

The Obama administration apparently wants to present the nuclear deal as fait accompli that Israel must simply accept as is.

US President Obama has refused to answer phone calls from Israel’s prime minister according to Middle East media reports. In a deliberate snub, Netanyahu's calls have instead been forwarded to US Secretary of State John Kerry. A US source said Jewish American politicians have been keen to fix the situation, which has steadily been deteriorating over the past month. Attempts are being made to set up a meeting between the two world leaders at the White House. 

Obama has issued a direct warning to Congress against further sanctions on Iran.

A report indicates US President Obama has been easing sanctions on Iran for five months without Congressional approval, and despite the lack of any agreement over the Islamic regime's nuclear weapons program. Sources in Congress revealed that Obama's administration has been suspending or lifting many sanctions without informing Congress since Iranian President Hasan Rouhani was elected in June, reports the World Tribune. An unnamed House staffer stated that “orders to stop the designations for new sanctions came from the White House," adding "this has not gone down well in the Treasury.” Congressional sources added that Obama's policy has allowed Iran to maintain its crude oil exports. The Tribune report falls in line with previous analysis that warned that Obama was rushing to seal a deal with Iran, and in the process was turning his back on US allies, Israel and Saudi Arabia. Mohamed Elibiary, a member of the Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council, is under fire for tweeting that America is “an Islamic country," reported the Washington Free Beacon.

After a Twitter user asked Elibiary to “show me just ONE example of an Islamic country where non Muslims are treated with equality,” he responded with the tweet: “America and yes I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution. Move On!” The back-and-forth between Elibiary and the Twitter user, who identified himself as Tim Lee, started when Elibiary said the conservative perception of Islam needed to “evolve."

Elibiary has served on the department’s “Countering Violent Extremism Working Group,” as well as its “Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee.” He is also a strong supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood. Neither the Department of Homeland Security nor Elibiary responded to its request for comments. (Arutz-7)

Several hardline Iranian groups have announced plans for a “Death to America” conference next month, highlighted by cash awards of $4,000 for the best photograph, poster, video, song or caricature.

While the slogan in Persian, “Marg bar Amrika,” means “Death to America” -  the official Iranian translation is “Down With America.”

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has called for a new intifada, or terrorist uprising against Israel.

A Hamas website has claimed credit for a "terror tunnel" recently discovered by Israel. The tunnel ran a length of over two miles under the Gaza border, exiting near a small Jewish village in southern Israel.

It was filled with explosives and other weapons.

Ten Jewish men were arrested after they unfurled Israeli flags and sang the Israeli national anthem atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

What could be so wrong about public displays of national pride in one’s own national capital? Unfortunately for these 10 men, all expressions of Jewishness, be they nationalistic or religious, are strictly forbidden atop the Temple Mount, which ironically is Judaism’s holiest site.

Sheikh Yusuf Adeis, a local Muslim cleric, told Arabic media that the actions of these Jewish men constituted a “heinous crime” and a “violation of all treaties.”

Palestinian Authority Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash in an on-camera sermon hinted any peace deal secured would secretly be only a short-term arrangement by comparing it to a truce the Muslim prophet Mohammed negotiated but broke two years later.

 The Palestinian minister called Mohammed’s example “the model” to be followed.

Market places across Israel are fragrant with harvest produce. For days they have displayed tables of the Four Species to be used in Succot celebrations and are buzzing with last minute activity as Israelis prepare for the most joyous holiday on the Jewish calendar.

Succot begins this year at sundown on Wednesday, September 18. Throughout Israel families have constructed succahs (huts) with a roof covering of branches. Children have made and hung decorations inside these temporary dwelling places. For seven days and nights, families and guests will eat their meals in the succah and otherwise regard it as their home. This is to commemorate the forty years traveled in the Sinai Desert prior to entering the Holy Land during which Moses and the children of Israel lived in tents.

Speaking at a memorial ceremony for fallen Armored Corps soldiers in Latrun, Ya’alon said: “We must keep in mind that our greatest enemy is arrogance, haughtiness and oppression of thought."

Israel has forgotten they can count on God; the God of Israel, yet they have not cried out to Him for help to deliver and to restore. Such stiffed necked people the Jews. Such stiff necked people the Gentiles.

Let us be patient and not grow weary in well doing for it is written that "at the proper time we shall reap if we do not give up."

Be anxious for nothing,  our times are in God's hands.

The first of the Biblical autumn festivals, Rosh Hashanah celebrates the birth of the world and humanity. Symbolic foods such as apples and honey are central to the holiday, symbolizing the sweetness, health, success and good deeds which we hope the coming year will bring. In the midst of the troubles in the Middle East and around the world, pause and give thanks to G-d for His sovereign goodness to this year, looking ahead to His blessings to come.

Doctors Without Borders has confirmed that the men, women, and children who died in the August 21st attack in Syria succumbed to "neurotoxic symptom" - chemical weapons.

A top Syrian official has warned that if attacked, Syria will react against Israel. Syrian Deputy Information Minister Halaf Al-Maftah claims Iraq, Lebanon and Iran would join Syria in hitting Israel if Western nations attack Syria, stating that Syria has "strategic weapons" it would possible use against the Jewish state.

And now we wait. In recent days, the U.S. has sent warships to Syria's coast. It is assumed they were waiting for word from the White House to attack Syria and remove Assad from power.

The French newspaper Le Figaro reported Guerrilla fighters trained by the West have begun moving towards Damascus.



Benjamin Netanyahu rebukes French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who claim the “Israeli-Palestinian conflict” to be the cause of regional instability.

The reason for this “instability” is Islam. This instability started 1.400 years ago.  Pray for Muslim and Jew, both trapped in religion, deceived, blind and lost apart from the God of Israel.

People who believe that the Bible is the One and only true written revelation of God Almighty will not accept Muhammad as a true prophet. They will not embrace Muslims as brothers, accepting that Allah and Jehovah God are one and the same, that we all worship the same god.

Beware and stand in faith. Allah and Jehovah God are not the same. Muslims need our Saviour, but until then bow the knee, confess their sin to Almighty God and turn from their wicked ways, they are not our brothers.

Knesset member says:  "Israel will make "dramatic decisions" to reach a final peace agreement that will end the conflict with the Palestinians."

Yet we must understand. There can be no peace if the people you are trying to make peace with are committed to your  complete and total destruction. Muslims don't want the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, or any other Jewish territory.

What Palestinians want is for Jews to be "driven into the sea"- Muslims care little about the land of Israel or it's holy sites. If tomorrow they woke up and all the Jews were gone and they had complete control of all the land that is now Israel, they would wipe away any and all traces of what  makes that land holy. The Tomb of Ezekiel that exists just outside of Bagdad is being cemented over and any reference to Hebrews, Israel or Ezekiel is being replaced with Muslim writings and symbols. This is not a battle over land but a battle between the Prince of Peace and the Prince of Darkness.

Both Hebrew and Muslim need our prayers.

One of the titles of the Bishop of Rome is Pontiff, that is, a builder of bridges with God and between people.

My wish is that the dialogue between us should help to build bridges connecting all people, in such a way that everyone can see in the other not an enemy, not a rival, but a brother or sister to be welcomed and embraced!

Will the Anti-Christ or The False Prophet present himself as a builder of bridges between God and man.??.   Just thinking out loud.

An Israeli ministerial committee has approved the list of the first 26 jailed Palestinian terrorists to be released as part of renewed US-driven peace talks one need ask - what arm twisting has been done by the America government and at what point does the price for peace become too high?

PM Binyamin Netanyahu responded Friday to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's remarks in which he was cited as saying that Israel "has been a wound on the body of the Islamic world for years and should be removed." Netanyahu said  "Rouhani's true face has been revealed earlier than expected. Even if they will now rush to deny his remarks, this is what the man thinks and this is the plan of the Iranian regime." Speaking of western commentators who have referred to Rouhani as a "moderate" who could depart from the aggressive foreign policy of his predecessor, the Prime Minister cited his recent remarks as a wake up call to the world.

For years unofficial restrictions bar Jews and Christians from praying atop the Temple Mount or carrying a Bible to the holy site. Muslim watchers keep an eye on all Jewish and Christian visitors, and Israeli police are quick to arrest those who violate these restrictions.

Plans are to release 104 “Palestinian prisoners” in a bid to boost prospects for the resumption of peace talks with Palestinian authorities.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated:  “This is an incredibly difficult decision. It hurts the bereaved families, it hurts all of the Israeli people and it hurts me very much. It clashes with the most important principle, the principle of justice.”

 Palestinian Minister of Prisoner Affairs Issa Qaraqe  is quoted as saying: 
 "President Obama should exert pressure on Israel to release Palestinian prisoners being held  in Israeli prisions." 

A Palestinian minister stated that Secretary of State John Kerry has assured Palestinians that Israel will free some 350 prisoners in the coming months.



One is never betrayed by a stranger; only fools put their trust in people they do not know. You can only be betrayed by someone you consider to be a  close friend, a trusted ally, a person whom you thought was fighting with you, not against you.

Samantha Power is set to be the next US ambassador to the UN following overwhelming approval during her Senate Foreign Relations Committee appearance on Tuesday. Power made special note of her intention to defend Israel in the world body and work to secure a seat for the Jewish state on the Security Council by 2018.

After her approval by all but two of the 18-member Senate committee, Power is expected to easily win confirmation from the rest of the Senate.

Christian denominations all too often teach the woman in Revelation 12 is the church. The Pope claims the women in the book of Revelation Chapter 12 is the Catholic Virgin Mary.

Both are wrong.

The woman in Revelation 12 is Israel, the Jewish nation, from Abraham came Jacob, who brought forth the 12 sons that later became the 12 tribes of Israel.

Israel, the chosen brought forth the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua haMashiach who shed His love abroad to all nations, the goyim, who are the called.

Sources in Israel disclosed the European Union has issued orders forbidding all 28 member states from cooperating, transferring funds, giving scholarships or research grants to organizations or individuals based in Judea and Samaria, eastern Jerusalem, and even the Golan Heights. The instructions are for the years 2014 – 2020 and will go into force on Friday, July 18. The decision also states that any future agreement signed with Israel must include a section that says the “settlements” are not part of sovereign Israel and therefore not included in the agreement. Might it be reasonable to conclude - according to scripture – that this latest attempt on the part of the EU to cripple Israel is likely to backfire on European nations in an unpleasant way?

For the ayatollah of Iran, the destruction of Israel is only one victory on the way to global submission to Allah.

Israel is seen as the little Satan, that needs to be terminated. When the greater Satan [America] is demolished, resistance will be minimal, and the world will submit to Islam. The west will either accept to be dhimmi, or its citizens will be slain by the sword.

The root of the problem lies in the spiritual realm of darkness.

Pray for the Light of Truth to pierce through the darkness and shine light upon the people of the Middle East.

Hamas, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, has been responsible for thousands of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel. The attacks have killed several dozen people and injured hundreds, but their main effect is the creation of widespread psychological trauma and disruption of daily life among the Israeli populace. Pray the Hamas terrorist organization and its affiliates will be rendered utterly powerless in its violent goals and tactics. Pray against renewed rocket attacks against Israel’s southern communities. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

The story in Genesis 32, in which Jacob wrestled with the angel of the Lord, is a prophecy of the final conflict, called “The day of the Lord.” As the father of the Twelve Tribes, he is central to the development of many Bible themes. Four Israeli teenagers were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly praying atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount.

According to the official police report, the four were spotted bowing and saying quiet prayers while visiting what is today a Muslim-occupied shrine.



But, a rabbi who witnessed the entire affair told Israel National News that he had not seen the youths bow down in prayer. Rather, the police officer who had accompanied them became extremely nervous when a large group of Muslim men began shouting "Allah Akbar" at the Jews. The Israeli teens were apparently arrested to further appease the Muslims.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened a new Holocaust exhibition at the former Auschwitz death camp, vowing Israel would do everything in its power to prevent another genocide of the Jewish people.



“For Sixty-five years the only thing that has truly changed is our ability and our determination to defend ourselves and to prevent another Holocaust.”

Netanyahu has accused Tehran of planning another Holocaust by developing nuclear weapons with the aim of destroying Israel. “This is a regime that is building nuclear weapons to annihilate Israel's six million Jews,” he said following talks with Polish counterpart Donald Tusk in Warsaw. Israel “will not allow this to happen.” While saying that Israel should be eliminated, Tehran insists its nuclear facilities are for peaceful purposes.

History shows - the world knew about the Holocaust and did nothing. The Allied leaders knew about the Holocaust as it was happening. They understood perfectly what was taking place in the death camps. They were asked to act, they could have acted, and they did not.

Mr. Netanyahu stated: “For the Jews, the lesson is clear. We must not stand idle before the threats of annihilation. We must not bury our heads in the sand, or let others do our work. As the prime minister of Israel I am telling all the nations of the world: The State of Israel will do whatever is necessary to prevent a second Holocaust.”

Last month, the World Council of Churches (WCC) convened in Lebanon and issued the following statement:

“Palestine continues to be the central issue in the region … The persistence, after sixty five years, of continuing dispossession of Palestinian people—Christian and Muslim alike—from their land by Israeli occupation, continuing settlement of land inside the 1967 borders … is central to the turmoil in the region …. Jerusalem today is an occupied city with a government which has adopted discriminatory policies against Christians and Muslims alike …”

The WCC also took aim at Christians who dare to support Israel, the reviled “Christian Zionists”:

"Christians who promote ‘Christian Zionism’ distort the interpretation of the Word of God and the historic connection of Palestinians—Christians and Muslims—to the Holy Land, enable the manipulation of public opinion by Zionist lobbies, and damage intra-Christian relations.”

THE “RIGHT OF RETURN”: 

When Israel was created in 1948, Arab states and Arab Palestinians attacked the Jewish community in Palestine and the Jewish state, vowing to “drive the Jews into the sea.” They lost the war, and some 725,000 Arab Palestinians at the behest of Arab leaders voluntarily fled from the area that became Israel. Palestinian Arabs claim any peace agreement with Israel must allow the descendants and families of these refugees, now numbering approximately four and a half million, to return to Israel. If Israel were to agree to this Jews would became a minority in their own state. Return of the refugees would put an end to the Jewish homeland.

From the onset of the 1948 Arab–Israeli War until the early 1970s, 800,000–1,000,000 Jews left, fled, or were expelled from their homes in Arab countries. Although much is heard about the plight of the Palestinian refugees from the aftermath of the 1948 Israeli War of Independence and the 1967 Six Day War, little is said about the hundreds of thousands of Jews who were forced to flee from Arab states before and after the creation of Israel. In fact, these refugees were largely forgotten because they were assimilated into their new homes, most in Israel, and neither the UN nor any other international agency has taken up their cause or demanded restitution for the property and money taken from them.

Israelis live in what most Americans would consider a constant state of "red alert," considering the unrelenting security threats faced by the nation. In light of that, most Israelis have resigned themselves to the fact that their government and local authorities are keeping close tabs on them, and that individual privacy is little more than an illusion, at least when it comes to communications.

Today in Israel, the police, the various national security agencies, the army, the tax authorities, the Environment Ministry and even the National Parks Authority have the right to request, without a warrant, private and personal communications from average citizens. And yet, there is little, if any, local outcry.

"Israelis are used to being spied on all the time," Jonathan Klinger, a lawyer specializing in media and technology, wrote on his personal blog. "As Israelis, the authority of the American agencies sounds like a joke."

Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished; We are completely cut off.' Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken and done it, declares the LORD. Ezekiel 37:11-14

 

Whether they be Christian, atheist, or Arab/Muslim, Egyptian, Syrian, Russian, Iranian or American Semite; when anyone in the world looks at the Jews, they cannot help but see the God of the Bible.

They may or may not believe in Him, but they see Him in the Jewish people. The nation of Israel is a nation today because of the promises of God.

Two suspects in the bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires are candidates in Iran’s presidential election. Mohsen Rezai and Ali Akbar Velayati, who are believed to have planned the 1994 attack, were among the eight candidates approved Tuesday for the June 14 election by Iran’s Guardian Council to succeed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Rezai is under an international arrest warrant, or red notice, from the Interpol international police agency. Argentina has accused the Iranian government of directing the bombing, which killed 85 and wounded 300, and the Lebanon-based terror group Hizbullah of carrying it out. No arrests have been made in the case.

Six Iranians have been on Interpol’s most wanted list since 2007 in connection with the bombing, including Iran’s current defense minister, Gen. Ahmed Vahidi. (Ha’aretz)

Canada last week once again demonstrated its unequivocal support for and friendship with Israel when Prime Minister Stephen Harper took other Western leaders to task for not backing the Jewish state sufficiently enough.

"There's nothing more shortsighted in Western capitals in our time than the softening of support we've seen for Israel around the globe."

The Canadian leader said that at a time of such turmoil, Israel has demonstrated that it is the "one stable, democratic ally that the West can count on in the Middle East."

Almost nothing is said by Western leaders regarding ceremonies honoring terrorists, or hate-filled Palestinian text books and children’s television shows. Jerusalem on the Line

Iran will chair a United Nations conference on disarmament in Geneva this month, raising eyebrows from Western powers skeptical of Iran’s own nuclear ambitions. The UN conference addresses not only nuclear proliferation but policies concerning the race to weaponize space, the production of radiological weapons and the stockpiling or use of other weapons of mass destruction. Iran will chair the conference barely a month after Geneva held a separate preparatory conference on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, or NPT, where Iran and North Korea were the top two concerns of participating states.

The office of Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon provided no comment on Iran’s position as chair, noting that such decisions are left to member states. (J.Post)

The neighborly way ~

Following the Arab League statement they would be willing to accept minor territorial compromise as part of an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal stated that his organizations goal remains the same;  "liberation of the Palestinian territories," which Hamas views as encompassing the entirety of the State of Israel.

Jordan's parliament has voted unanimously to eject Israeli Ambassador Daniel Nevo for the arrest of a Jerusalem mufti.

Jordanian Interior Minister Hussein Mahalia summoned Ambassador Nevo to express his country's severe condemnation of the mufti's detention who was arrested for his role in inciting violence against Israeli police stationed at the holy site.

"I swear that if we had a nuke, we'd have used it this very morning," said Jibril Rajoub, Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee and Chairman of the Palestinian Authority Olympic Committee.

Rajoub explained that the Palestinian Authority only continues to play this "negotiating game" with Israel because it currently lacks the military strength to defeat the Jewish state.

Up until last week, anyone visiting the localized version of google.ps would see the label "Palestinian Territories." Now, that same page simply labels the localized version of Google as belonging to "Palestine."

Google officials said the move was in line with the United Nation's recent upgrading of "Palestine" to non-member state status, a de facto recognition of Palestine's independence, as well as UNESCO's open acceptance of a sovereign Palestinian state.

While many in Israel's government agree that the peace process will lead to the creation of a Palestinian state, they argue that permitting the Palestinian Authority to achieve this goal in a unilateral way will only perpetuate the conflict.

Tensions along Israel's northern border are growing as Hezbollah forces tighten their grip on southern Lebanon.

But UN soldiers are only observers. They have no desire to risk their lives in a foreign conflict. UN soldiers seem to want nothing more than to leave southern Lebanon, just as they are threatening to do in the Golan Heights, where Syrian rebel forces have repeatedly threatened their lives.

It would appear that Israel must constantly be taught the lesson that it cannot rely on the United Nations or any outside force in an emergency situation.

The international community, especially the UN, is only effective when all is quiet.

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ." Colossians 2:8

Israel as well as tens of thousands of the "worldly wise" do not understand, there will be NO peace apart from the Prince of Peace.

Qatari Prime Minister Hamad Bin Jassem Al Thani referenced the Saudi-authored Arab League Peace Initiative while visiting Washington. Al Thani seemed to suggest a softening of the proposal's conditions, stating that the Arabs were ready to accept comparable, mutually agreed and minor land swaps between Israel and a future Palestinian state.
 
Al Thani's remarks are being hailed as an opportunity for peace.

"When they say, "Peace and security," then sudden destruction comes on them, like labor pains come on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." 1 Thessalonians 5:3

Top Israeli military officials have confirmed that the embattled forces of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad have used chemical weapons against rebel populations.

Equally concerning, said the Israelis, is the lack of an international response to this crime.

It is believed Assad's forces have used sarin as well as other chemical weapons in recent weeks. The Assad regime is in possession of more than 1,000 tons of chemical weapon agents, and the deafening silence of the international community now that these banned substances are being used is cause for great concern.

If the world will not speak up when Assad uses these weapons against his own people, will it do anything to stop terrorist groups who seize the chemical weapons in the wake of Assad's fall from using them against Israel?

Speaking in Istanbul, John Kerry said that after what Americans had gone through in Boston last week, "I have deep feelings for what happens when you have violence, when something that happens when you lose people that are near and dear to you. It affects the community; it affects the country."

The remark was made in the context of addressing the May 2010 Israeli interception of a Turkish-led flotilla attempting to break the maritime blockade of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip. Kerry said he could understand the pain and frustration of the families of those aboard the flotilla's lead ship, the Mavi Marmara, nine of whom lost their lives after violently attacking the Israeli boarding party.

Kerry's remarks are another indication of how little Washington really understands the Middle East.

'Tension is rising on the Israel-Syria cease-fire line on the Golan Heights and Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu says he's ready to launch military operation to prevent the weakening Damascus regime's chemical and other advanced weapons falling into Islamist hands. Israeli officials say the Jewish state's northern border is more tense than at any time since the cease-fire that ended the Yom Kippur War in October 1973.

In Iran:  Iran needs only 80 kilograms more of 20% enriched uranium before it can produce a nuclear bomb.

and in Lebanon:  Hamas and Hizbullah in Lebanon are preparing for war with Israel. Tens of thousands of rockets of various types have been purchased, waiting for the right circumstances to fire them into Israel.

As tensions and pressures continue to build to a catastrophic breaking point in the Middle East, pray Israel’s leaders and citizens will be prepared and equipped to deal with possible coming scenarios on all of its borders and in major cities. Pray for God’s mercy to avert and immobilize enemy attempts to attack and cripple the Jewish state.

Israeli Police Chief Yohanan Danino and his senior staff departed for a scheduled visit to Boston to meet with FBI and other US law enforcement officials. Danino will work to further law enforcement cooperation between the two nations and provide Israeli expertise in the investigation into the marathon bombing.

By contrast, members of the Palestinian organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad reportedly danced and handed out candies in the streets of Gaza after hearing about the spilling of American blood. Islamists in neighboring Jordan told local media that the Americans deserved such terror.

Chief of emergency services at Massachusetts General Hospital, which treated the bulk of those wounded in the Boston Marathon bombing, credited Israel with preparing his staff to effectively deal with such an scenario. Two years ago Dr. Alasdair Conn invited Israeli experts to train his staff on handling mass casualty situations. That training was put to good use on Monday, and Massachusetts General was widely praised for it handling of the situation.

The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is the only separate refugee agency ever set up by the UN.Primarily funded by the US and EU, the UNRWA is spending roughly $500 million per year on Palestinian schools, employing over 10,000 local teachers.

The UNRWA does not produce texbooks for these schools, but rather lets the PLO-run Palestinian Authority using American dollars and European euros, teach whatever they deem appropriate.



Security forces recently captured a Hamas [think PLO] terrorist cell group operating out of Jerusalem's Temple Mount.

Decisions deliberated in secret, believing that the situation was so complicated the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if the people could not understand it, it could not be released because of national security. Israel - should "Palestinians" have their way.

Objective - Destruction; one piece at a time.

Israel has reportedly established a large field hospital in the northern Golan Heights to treat Syrian's wounded in their country's ongoing civil war.

In recent weeks, 11 Syrians have crossed into Israel after being wounded in fierce gun battles between rebels and those forces still loyal to dictator Bashar Assad.

More are expected.

The foreign media came up with all kinds of biblical comparisons as millions of locusts invaded southern Israel earlier this month, crossing the border from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.  A headline in the German newspaper Die Welt read: “Like in Biblical Times.” A Canadian news website wrote that “it’s hard not to draw references to the Bible when a swarm thought to contain 30 million insects buzzes over an ancient city days before Passover.”

It’s also “hard not to draw references to the Bible” when it comes to the rebirth and existence of the State of Israel.

"I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God." Amos 9:14-15

Generally it is understood there is no occupation within one’s own land.

"The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.'' Genesis 17:8

When he arrived in Israel on Wednesday, US President Barack  Hussein Obama clearly and unequivocally reaffirmed the historical and biblical connection of the Jewish people to this land.

A day later, he stood at the podium at the Palestinian Authority headquarters in Ramallah and stated that allowing Jews to build homes and live in the biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria was "problematic" and "not constructive" to achieving peace in the region.

So, which is it? Do the Jews have an ancient connection to this land that entitles them to live here, or don't they?

When Barack Hussein Obama speaks of Jewish settlements, he would do well to pay attention to official Palestinian media, which also identifies as settlements the cities of Tel Aviv, Haifa, Beersheva...... and parts of Jerusalem.

"Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD." (Jeremiah 31:37)

"The people of Israel, in spite of all God had done for them, continually rebelled against Him, even turning to other gods. One might think God would have destroyed them and started again, but He had made a promise first to Abraham, then to Isaac, and then to Jacob, that this nation would be His special people, and He would not break that promise.

In our text God reveals the "conditions" under which He would cast off Israel, but they are such that there is no possibility of their being met.

If heaven above can be measured: Neither Abraham nor Jeremiah could have had any concept of the number of stars or the depth of space. Now, with modern telescopes, we see unthinkable distances and even farther and farther as our technology increases. Estimates of the radius of the universe now stand at around 15-20 billion light years, and no end is in sight.

If the foundations of the earth [can be] searched out beneath: Sometimes scientists claim they know more about the sun than they do the earth. But in reality, only one percent of the earth's radius has been explored. The pressures and temperatures which exist deep inside the earth are unthinkably great, and we don't even know how matter acts under those conditions.

But this we do know - The promise to Israel is secure."
